Walkthrough[edit]

Frightmare Hills has the titular Frightmare and nothing else on its grounds. It's an excellent coaster, but also has a very high nausea rating that will make a mess on the pathways very fast. Once the mess is mitigated, expanding should be simple as you have plenty of rides to start with and a good amount of time. However, once you reach 1,000 guests, a new complication will arise that will stall your guest count, but more on that in the final paragraph.

First thing is to hire more handymen and ensure a couple of them are near Frightmare's exit as it's going to be covered with puke very quickly. Have the lone mechanic set his path near the roller coaster. Set the roller coaster's inspection time to 10 minutes and feel free to adjust the price of the coaster since its novelty will allow for a huge price increase. It'll need every cent since the nearly 10 intensity and 8 nausea will turn away guests that find it too rough or sickening to ride. Set research to Maximum and go for Thrill Rides first to get the Motion Simulator, then research whatever you please. Finally, add some litter bins since the path only has benches, then lay down some shops and stalls.

Despite the elevated landscape, expanding shouldn't be difficult. Expand to the left side and build a path along the hill, then construct a bridge over the lake and reach the other side. You should eventually build back to the main path to make a loop with more rides built along the way. You should have more roller coasters unlocked by now and the lake will probably plenty of space for them. The level is colder than usual with a lot of clouds, which can increase chances for rain, so consider building some cover rides whenever possible. Most importantly, save often as Frightmare isn't designed with the Station Brakes Failure in mind and will crash if a train is stalled at the station.

Frightmare is an acquired taste.

With some good planning and about two to three newly built coasters, you should reach at least 700 guests by the end of the first year. However, once you reach 1,000 guests, a new problem arises. Guests suddenly become harder to attract unless you build a roller coaster with at least six excitement and is around 1,968 ft (600 m) in length. You should continue expanding over the waters and hills with at least seven coasters in the park. There should be plenty of space to work with to get there and by now, you should be making enough profit to build such large coasters. As always, if the guest count gets too low, then advertise to make it up as it can bypass the harder requirements to lure guests.
