Walkthrough[edit]

Grand Glacier lives up to its namesake by having one huge glacier nestled in a riverbank between two hills. The giant ice block has a very rough terrain with lots of random elevated spots and seldom any slopes. 1,500 guests in 3 years will be difficult since you're starting from scratch, but there's an excellent selection of rides at the start. As long as the glacier can be navigated, beating this scenario shouldn't be too difficult.

Start by building your path toward the ice area and lay down some flat rides before opening to bring in guests. Set research to maximum and either pick Roller Coasters to eventually get the Steel Corkscrew and Steel Coaster or Thrill Rides to eventually get the Whoa Belly and Go Karts. Hire a mechanic to keep those maintained while you pick a coaster to build. The random spots of raised land can be a little annoying, but you can easily lower or go around them if needed. You can even try to make an underground coaster by near a two-unit high cliff and tunneling into it. Hire handimen afterward and find a couple of spots for stalls away from nauseating rides. Eventually, you should have your path circle back around when you reach the perimeter fence up north.

One of the more difficult parts of expanding are the mountains at the edges of the glacier, which are several units tall and littered with trees. One good way to take advantage of those mountains is to build coasters that hug the slopes and freely go up and down. You can also have them tunnel through the mountains for added excitement. If you're really desperate for space, you can also landscape a couple of spots at the mountains to build more path. Don't go overboard flattening the mountains or you'll quickly run out of money.

Use the rough terrain to build an underground coaster.

As long as you start aggressively with a new ride after another, you should reach well over 500 guests at the end of the first year. Keep that momentum going well into the second year with more coasters and advertisting to reach over 1,000 guests in the second year. Be careful not to fall behind early or you may not be able to make it up.
