X-Blades (known in Russia as Oniblade (Ониблейд)) is a hack and slash action-adventure game with an RPG element for Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It was first released in Russia in late 2007 by 1C Company, later by TopWare Interactive throughout North America, SouthPeak Interactive in Europe, and finally by Ubisoft throughout Japan in 2009.

Players control Ayumi, a spell-casting treasure hunter wielding a pair of gunblades, through a linear adventure that explores indoor and outdoor environments. Monsters are present in both preset numbers and in areas with "Monster Generators" that spawn both standard enemies and bosses until the generator is destroyed. Hidden power-ups, called artifact pieces, can be found throughout the game to grant ability upgrades. As players defeat enemies or destroy objects, they earn souls which can be use to purchase skills. These skills include combat techniques, spells, weapon enhancements, and teleportation.
