Battle in this arena is involved with both close and far combat.  There are basically 3 open levels in this arena and on the lowest level there is a double-damage power-up that regenerates quite often.  Options are to grab the Imperialist and snipe from above, grab the double-damage and deliver the blow, hide behind the pillars and wait for the right moment, or rome on the lower levels with alt-mode and attack nearby foes.
