Ness needs to be unlocked

Ness is the 13-year-old psychic boy who is the hero of EarthBound on the SNES.

Standard Attacks

Wii Remote + Nunchuk Wii Remote (sideways) Wii Classic Controller GameCube Controller Attack Info
Punch Punch an opponent.
Smash Right nunchuk+A button Right dpad+1 button+2 button (Smash Right lstick+A button) or Right rstick (Smash Right control+A button) or Right cstick Bat Smash Takes time to charge but is Ness's most powerful smash attack.
Smash Up nunchuk+A button Up dpad+1 button+2 button (Smash Up lstick+A button) or Up rstick (Smash Up control+A button) or Up cstick Yo-Yo Up Swings a yo-yo around Ness's head.

PK Fire Shoots a beam that bursts into a pillar of flames when it hits an enemy.
PK Thunder Shoots a lightning bolt that can be used to shoot Ness back onto the stage or into enemies to deal damage.
PSI Magnet Absorbs damage from projectile attacks and heals Ness.

Final Smash

PK Starstorm

PK Starstorm: Ness's final smash is similar to Lucas's but with blue stars instead of yellow ones. Also, the stars come down in more of a fan-shaped pattern. It is most sucessful on smaller stages.
