ok you start out the game with Pit, Wario, samus/zero suit samus, ike, pokemon trainer, diddy kong, meta knight, lucas, king dedede, olmar, mario, link, kirby pikachu, fox, zelda/sheck, bowser, donkeykong, yoshi, peach, and the ice climbers.

you will later earn many more charcters you earn them by doing the following(dont worry,you dont have to do all 3 ways, just choose one method of getting the characters)

Snake: Play 130 brawls Play 15 brawls on Shadow Moses Island Get snake to join in the subspace emissary

Jiggly Puff: 350 Brawl Matches Fight her in Swamp stage in SSE after completing it Complete SSE then Events 1-20

Capitain Falcon: 70 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Beat classic mode in 12 minutes or less then defeat him in the following match

Sonic: 300 Brawl matches Have him join in SSE(At the very end) Beat classic mode with 10 characters

Luigi: 22 Brawl matches Have him join in SEE Complete classic without continuing

Lucario: 100 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Complete all 5 Target Tests with a character

Ness: 5 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Reflect ten projectiles

Falco: 50 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Complete 100-man brawl

Mr. Game & Watch: 250 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Clear Target Tests on any level with 30+ characters

Toon Link 400 Brawl Matches Fight him in Forest stage in SSE after completing it After beating SSE, finish the Classic mode

Wolf: 450 Brawl Matches Fight him in Ruins stage in SSE after completing it Complete Boss Mode with Fox or Falco

R.O.B.(Robot(Japanese version)): 160 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Get 250 different Trophies

Ganondorf: 200 Brawl Matches Collect Zelda and Link trophies in SSE to have him join you Clear Classic on Hard with Link or Zelda

Marth: 10 Brawl Matches Have him join in SSE Finish Classic on any difficulty
