Home-Run Contest
In home-run contest you will see how far you are able to throw the sandbag. There are 4 differences from the home-run contest in SSBM:
# Now there's a shield surrounding the platform, so that only a hard hit will send the sandbag away.
# Two players playing simultaneously.
# Two-player alternating game.
# Online competitions.

Multi-Man Brawl
The multi-man brawl gives you 6 different battles:
# 10-Man Brawl (battle against 10 alloys).
# 100-Man Brawl (battle against 100 alloys).
# 3-Minute Brawl (try to survive 3 minutes of brawl).
# 15-Minute Brawl (try to survive 15 minutes of brawl).
# Endless Brawl (battle against unlimited alloys until you quit or you are defeated).
# Cruel Brawl (battle against very difficult alloys).
In this, game the enemies to battle against in the multi-man brawl will be the Fighting Alloy Team. They come in 4 different colors and sizes that mimic normal characters:
# The Red Alloy: similar to Captain Falcon (shape and movement).
# The Blue Alloy: similar to Zero Suit Samus (shape and aerial attacks).
# The Yellow Alloy: similar to Fox (does a rotational flip when jumping).
# The Green Alloy: similar to Kirby (jumps multiple times and has a similar aerial attack).
100-Man Brawl
This challenge doesn't seem very hard at first because all the enemies can be killed with a well-placed smash, but once you get to less than 25 alloys left, it becomes a real challenge.
The beam sword is a very effective item in 100-Man Brawl because of it's long range and powerful smash attack. Pokeballs and Assist Trophies are also very, very good, unless you get pokemon like electrode or goldeen, or Assist Trophies like Nintendogs or Resetti. Another very good item to use is the bumper--stand below the right or left platform and throw it straight up, and it will get stuck right where alloys spawn, creating instant kills very easily.
Beating this with eery character yields a Blue Allot trophy; there are also prizes for beating it in less than four minutes and less than three minutes and thirty seconds.
Cruel Brawl
In Cruel Brawl, it only takes a single smash attack to get killed, however your opponents will require a sufficient beating before they can be KO'd.  The difficulty is then increased by the amount of opponents, which varies between three and six.  Every Cruel Brawl session will begin with four enemies on screen, one Alloy of each color.
There are two unlockables to be had through Cruel Brawl:
*Trophy: KO five enemies with one character.
*Sticker: KO ten enemies with one character.
;Easy Kills with Pit
The easiest way to take on the Cruel Brawl is to avoid fighting altogether.  Using Pit you can cause the CPU players to jump off of the stage in a manner that disables them from returning to it, thus giving you a KO.  To do this, at the start of the round run and jump off either side of the stage.  In mid-air, jump out horizontally far enough so that you can't be hit by any enemies standing on the edge.  As you fall, curve in towards the edge, and when you are close to the bottom (you'll need to practice to find out how much room it requires) use Pit's Up B to keep him alive.  Simply fly back up to the edge and grab on.  The trick here is to stay airborne for the entire fight - only landing to give Pit another round of multiple jumps and access to his Up B technique.
While doing this, watch how the computer players react.  They'll either sit on the edge, jump out into midair and back onto the stage, jump down after you and attack, or jump down and then try to get back to the stage safely.  If you can cause the Alloys to jump after you while using the normal multiple jumps that Pit has and then trigger his Up B and fly behind them (towards the stage bottom and back up to the edge), you'll cause the AI to ignore you and focus on survival.  If you did it correctly, some of the Alloys will end up being turned away from the stage and without additional jumps - and so they will fall.  When you start doing this well, you'll be grabbing groups of two or more.
