Start by talking to the person looking at the sign at the Lake of Rage, then go to the store in mahogany, Lance will open the stairs, go down, prepare for 2 battles and go into the range of the statue.Now you can either go West for more battles or down to trip the switch to stop them. The grunts will be exactly the same as the 2 you just faced so if you want some EXP face them, then go to the south then south again, follow the corridoor round to the left and face the scientist, the item behind him is a Guard.
