Starting the game
At the beginning of the game, like all games, shows an introduction screen, and like in all games, there is a Pokémon Proffesor introducing you to the Pokémon world, this time its Proffessor Birch. A new option is included now, you get to choose whether you want to be a boy or a girl, so choose your gender, and you will then get the option to choose your name. In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, a choice is given of four names, or you can type your own, in Pokémon Emerald, you must use your own name.
