After you get back from Cianwood, go to Jasmine and say yes then go to the gym, she uses the Steel type so Fire is super effective. Once you win, you probably should go to Cianwood to get fly, beat the Leader, then fly to Goldenrod and deposit the Shickle and a Ditto in the Day-Care Center.
