These are the controls for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. An improvement over the Game Boy Color games, is that you can now run, which is a much quicker way of getting places than just walking.

  • Neutral dpad-Move character
  • A button-Select/Talk to people
  • B button-Exit out of a menu/Hold down to run
  • L button-Select/Talk to people(Optional)
  • Start button-Menu
  • Select button-Use registered item
