The scene opens with your character floating in a kolto tank, one of five occupying in a foreign room. As the camera zooms closer towards your character's face, a voice goes through your character's head.

The tank then begins to drain, your character sinking with it, until their body slides into the middle of the floor. As monitors flicker on in a circle around them, your character gains consciousness, lifts their head, and stands up. With this, you gain control of your character for the first time and now truly begin playing the game.
