==Color crystals==
[[../Lightsabers/]] always have one crystal which determines blade color, so getting a lightsaber always gives you a color crystal as well. Lightsabers can be upgraded to change their color, but since they '''must''' have a color crystal you cannot do so if the only crystals you have are in other lightsabers: you must have at least one of the separate color crystals listed below to allow this.

When a color crystal is selected, blue, green, yellow and red can always be selected, but the selection of other colors depends on main character level:

Jorran can always sell you a color crystal (rare selection) and a lightsaber upgrade item, which has 1/5 or 20% chance of being another color crystal. Nadaa can always give you an upgrade item, and Geriel and Zherron can always give you a lightsaber upgrade item (color selection is normal). Color crystals and upgrade items already in inventory aren't normally selected, so you can improve your chances of getting a color you want from these sources by keeping at least one of each color you don't want in inventory: this can even allow you to get colors at lower levels than is normally possible (for example, if you already have blue, green, yellow, red and violet crystals, then cyan (and sometimes above) can be selected before level 18, or even level 13).
