There are six aspirations to choose from. Aspirations decide what your Sim will want throughout his or her life.

Family Aspiration These Sims enjoy having large families (they will want 10 children following the birth of their third child, and 20 grandchildren), being best friends with their family members, teaching toddlers new skills, helping their children with homework, etc.

Popularity Aspiration These Sims want to make tons of best friends (more and more until they reach 30), throw parties, win fights, become athletes, and sell masterpieces and great novels.

Romance Aspiration This Aspiration would be better suited to the name "Promiscuity" rather than "Romance". Romance Sims want to fall in love with, make out with, and woohoo with new Sims constantly, until they have reached 30 Sims for each of the aforementioned activities. They will not want to get engaged or married. Their career of choice is the Slacker career.

Knowledge Aspiration Knowledge Sims want to gain skills, see ghosts, be abducted by aliens, become doctors or scientists, defeat the Grim Reaper, and get into private school.

Fortune Aspiration Fortune Sims want one thing: wealth. That means that they want high paying jobs, lots of material posessions, and money in the bank.

Pleasure Seeker Aspiration These Sims want only the best in life: best friends, hot dates, long nights spent dancing, expensive dinners, and complete avoidance of work and chores.
