The following is a list of NPCs who appear in the Sims 2 and brief descriptions of what they do.

The Sims 2

Bartender The bartender will come to a Sim's house and will serve drinks at a party. The fee is $10 per visit and $15 per hour.

Exterminator The exterminator will come to a Sim's house and remove roaches from their household. He charges $10 per visit and $15 per hour.

Gardener The gardener will tend, trim, and water any plants a Sim may have in their gardens. The fee is $5 per visit and $10 per hour. The gardener can be hired on a recurring basis.

Maid The maid will handle all of the chores and clean up all messes in a Sim's house. She charges $5 per visit and $10 per hour. The maid be hired on a recurring basis.

Nanny The nanny will babysit any Sims under teen age while their parents are out. She charges $10 per visit and $15 per hour. The nanny be hired on a recurring basis.

Repairman The repairman will repair any mechanical issues in a Sim's house. He charges $10 per visit and $50 per hour.

Burglar The burglar will randomly arrive at a Sim's house during the night and rob several possesions. If the Sim has a burglar alarm, this can be prevented. If so, burglar is apprehended by the police and is driven away.

Community Lot Salespeople These are salesmen and saleswomen who run the stores and restaurants of a community lot neighborhood.

Delivery Man/Woman The delivery man/woman will deliever pizza, groceries, or photo albums to a Sim's household for a fee.

Firefighters The firefighter will keep any fire that may erup in a Sim's household under control. The use of a smoke detector can summon them more quickly. If, however, the call is a prank or false alarm, the Sim will be charged a hefty $500 fine.

Police The police officer will apprehend any burglar that may rob a Sim's house. The use of a burglar alarm can summon them more quickly. If, however, the call is a prank or false alarm, the Sim will be charged a hefty $500 fine.

Mail Carrier The mail carrier will deliever mail and bills to a Sim's household on a regular basis.

Newspaper Delivery The delievery man/woman will deliever the newspaper to a Sim's household on a daily basis.

Grim Reaper The Grim Reaper will usher deceased Sims off to the afterlife. If a living Sim has a high relationship with the deceased Sim, he may plead for the life back, and chances are it will happen.

Repo Man If a Sim does not pay his/her bills on time, te repo man will remove furniture equivalent in value to the bills.

Social Worker The social worker will be summoned to a Sim's household to deliever an adopted baby or remove neglected or faiing children.

Sim Shrink The Sim Shrink will diagnose a Sim with Aspiration faliure, dropping from the sky. He is invisible to other Sims.

Townies Townies are NPCs who roam about community lots and don't live on a playing Sim's neighborhood.

Social Bunny The Social Bunny will magically appear and attempt to cheer up and socialize with a Sim when his or her Social need has bottomed out.
