The Deck 2 Elevator takes you to the northwest of the command center. You need to get from this West Elevator to the East Elevator to the southeast. In the Command Center itself you and your party encounter Darth Malak's three strongest dark Jedi if you returned to the dark side, otherwise you alone face Bastila, who can be redeemed: bringing her back to the light is easier if you can be persuasive (easier still for a male character who romanced Bastila), but it isn't necessary.

Before the command center confrontation you encounter Sith troopers, apprentices and dark Jedi. As on Deck 2, enemies killed are replaced (albeit not indefinitely), so it's best to keep moving on to your objective. After the confrontation, you leave the command center on your own. Darth Malak confronts you at the east elevator but retreats, leaving you to the forge droids generated behind you. You can simply bash open or unlock the door to follow him, so you don't need to deactivate the six droid generators, but you can keep destroying droids if you need or want to level up anymore.

If you have not returned to the dark side, Darth Malak has summoned Bastila to the Command Center:

Bastila: Master, why have you summoned me? Without my Battle Meditation there is a chance the Republic capital ships could break through and attack the Star Forge itself!
Dialog
Darth Malak: This will not take long, Bastila. You will be able to resume your Battle Meditation soon enough. I only wanted you to know that Revan is here on the Star Forge.
Bastila: Revan? But...
Darth Malak: The Force is bringing us towards a confrontation with my old master. The Star Forge has drawn our enemies together so they may all die in a single, glorious day! You must kill Revan to prove yourself worthy of being my apprentice, Bastila. You must finish what began in the Rakatan Temple.
Bastila: Y-yes, Lord Malak.
Darth Malak: I sense your fear, Bastila. But it is unfounded. The power of the Star Forge will feed the dark side within you, it will give you the strength you need to defeat my old master. Stay here in the command center while you use your Battle Meditation against the Republic fleet. Revan will find you here in due time. It is inevitable.
Bastila: Of course, Master. I will not fail you again.

If you have returned to the dark side, he has summoned his three strongest dark Jedi:

Dark Jedi: You summoned us, Lord Malak?
Dialog
Darth Malak: Bastila has betrayed me. I must select a new successor to be my apprentice; one who will one day take the mantle of Sith Lord away from me. Of all the Dark Jedi that have sworn allegiance to me, you three are the strongest. One of you will have the honor of becoming my new apprentice... if you prove yourself worthy.

Darth Malak: Revan is on the Star Forge, looking to reclaim the title of Dark Lord of the Sith. Wait here for my old master. Whichever one of you deals the killing blow to Revan will become my new apprentice.
Dark Jedi: We will not fail you, Master!
Dark Darth Malak: Perhaps you will triumph. But even if you fail it will give me the time I need to complete my preparations of the station's defenses. Light Darth Malak: Perhaps you will triumph, Bastila. But even if you fail it will give me the time I need to complete my preparations of the station's defenses.
Darth Malak: And then we shall see if Revan can stand against the full fury of the Star Forge! Ha-ha-ha!

The elevator door west is behind you at the northeast end of a short tunnel, and the door at the southwest end is closed so if you still need to heal or regenerate Force points then you can do so without fear of attack.

Once you exit the tunnel you'll find yourself at the north end of a broad walkway like the one you just left, except its sentries cannot be deactivated: a Sith heavy trooper stands to the northwest and southeast, while a Sith advanced trooper stands to the northeast and southwest.

Medical items are only received if unused. However, it's quicker and easier to just run past them since they'll be replaced elsewhere if you kill them: the use of their Energy Shields gives them less time to attack you before you're out of range, and they won't pursue you (movement is advisable anyway to avoid getting entangled by any Adhesive Grenades used by the advanced troopers).

Although this is the last you'll see of any Sith heavy trooper, the Sith advanced trooper is among the enemies that can be randomly selected to appear from the central tunnel in the east wall of the walkway: once again, if this enemy is killed then a replacement will appear elsewhere as well. Other enemies include Sith advanced troopers with 110 Vitality (not 100) but no Adhesive Grenades, and Sith troopers:

There's a metal box in the south corner all the way at the southwest end of the walkway:

Otherwise, the only way to go is through the central tunnel and up the ramp in the walkway to the east, which then turns north and ends in the door to a tunnel: if you kill any of the enemies previously encountered then depending on your position their replacements will appear from either of these tunnels, or the northwest and southwest ends of the previous walkway.

Command Center[edit]

Through the north tunnel the walkway continues upward to a landing before turning east to the door of a tunnel. As you approach, three dark Jedi seal it before engaging in combat. If you try to use the door before killing them all:

The door to the tunnel opens once all three have been killed. Save game before opening the door at the east end: once you enter the command center, the door will be held closed behind you and you'll never return here.

If you have not returned to the dark side, then Bastila confronts you as you open the door. If you have returned to the dark side, Darth Malak's three strongest dark Jedi confront you as you enter:

Dark Jedi: Bastila! You were a fool to betray the Master... and an even bigger fool to return to the Star Forge.
Bastila: The only fools are those who still follow Malak. Open your eyes and see the true Lord of the Sith: Revan has returned!
Dark Jedi: Revan is nothing! Malak earned the title of Dark Lord by defeating his old Master - and now I will become Malak's new apprentice by doing the same!

If you try to use either the door to the west behind you or to the south before killing them all:

[This door is held closed by some great power, and cannot be opened at the moment.]

Since you aren't immediately in range to use Force powers, all three will most likely have time to use Force Immunity before you can prevent it by debilitating them: however, if this is a problem then Bastila can use Force Breach to cancel it if you cannot.

Otherwise, their use of Force Immunity gives you an opportunity to use grenades or (Advanced) Throw Lightsaber, but they almost always save against the former (although an Adhesive Grenade thrown at the one in the center will entangle all three) and the one on the left in the red shirt using a Double-Bladed Lightsaber is immune to Plasma Grenades (plus Flame Throwers and the fire damage of an upgraded Baragwin Heavy Repeating Blaster, which may make HK-47 and Canderous unhappy):

The door to the west through which you entered is still held closed, but that to the south can now be opened. Once you've done so:

Bastila: The Star Forge is under assault from the entire Republic fleet! If I don't use my Battle Meditation to turn the tide, Admiral Dodonna's capital ships will destroy the Star Forge. I have to stay here in the command center so that I can best use my Battle Meditation against our enemy. If I don't the Star Forge will be lost! You must go to face Malak without me. Find him, kill him and reclaim the title of Dark Lord of the Sith!

The door closes behind you, with Bastila and any remaining party on the other side. Meanwhile, as the space battle rages between the Republic and Sith fleets outside, Admiral Dodonna and Master Vandar begin to realize that something is horribly wrong:

Dodonna: The tide of the battle is turning against us. The entire Sith fleet reacts instantly to our every strategy. Every fighter and capital ship attack in perfect unison. I've never seen such military precision!
Dialog
Vandar: I have - but never from the Sith. It's almost as if... No! Bastila is using her Battle Meditation against us!
Dodonna: What? Impossible! She's on our side!
Vandar: Not anymore, Admiral. I sensed something different about Bastila during her transmission, but I thought I was only feeling the evil presence of the Star Forge itself. I see now I was wrong. Bastila has turned to the dark side, Admiral. You have to give the order to retreat!
Dodonna: I can't do that. This might be our only chance to destroy the Star Forge - we can't withdraw. We can't.
Vandar: Then you will lose.

As Bastila turns the tide of battle against the Republic, you must get to the East Elevator for a battle of your own...

Bastila[edit]

Bastila stops her Battle Meditation to engage in dialog: although combat is still inevitable, she disengages several times once enough damage has been inflicted and resumes dialog. This gives you the opportunity to convince her to renounce the dark side and bring her back to the light. Some responses earn you points toward this, and at least 100 points are necessary to redeem her:

Bastila: Revan - I knew you'd come for me.
Dialog
1. I'm Name now, Bastila. Revan is no more. 2. I'll never give up on you, Bastila. I know you can still be saved. 3. You can't escape, Bastila! Wherever you run I'll hunt you down!
Bastila: Sadly, I know this is true. Had you reclaimed the power of your previous identity I would be your apprentice, not Malak's. But you rejected the dark side. Bastila: You are wasting your time. I have seen the Jedi for what they are: weak and afraid. The Sith are the true Masters of the Force. You have forgotten that lesson, Revan. Bastila: I have no doubt of that. I was no match for you in the Temple, but when I fled I knew you would follow me here.
Bastila: Now you must pay the price. Here on the Star Forge the power of the dark side is at its strongest. This time you will not defeat me!
Points Dialog

Any party members are placed in stasis, and the door behind you closes between them and you. If you try to use either the door to the west behind you or to the south:

If Bastila uses Force Immunity then even a level 20 Jedi will only have 25% chance to breach it. Once she's been reduced to < 50% Vitality:

Dialog
Bastila: I see now why Malak followed you. Even though you are only a shell of your former self, you are still a formidable opponent. I can't even imagine the power you must have wielded when you were the Dark Lord. You were a fool to give it all up and follow the light side.
3. I'm still strong enough to defeat you, Bastila!
Bastila: Then it's time for you to prove it!

Otherwise, if you're trying to redeem her and bring her back to the light:

1. I am as strong in the light as I ever was following the dark side. 2. You've been consumed by the dark side, Bastila. Can't you see it's destroying you?
Bastila: The dark side has made me stronger than I ever was before! I have a greater command of the Force than all but the most powerful Jedi Masters. As Malak teaches me the greatest secrets of the Sith, I will unlock more of my potential. Eventually there will be no limit to what I can accomplish with the Force!
1. Malak will never let you become that powerful. He will kill you first. 2. You will accomplish death and destruction with the dark side, nothing else.
Bastila: Have you forgotten the ways of the Sith already, Revan? Eventually I will challenge my Master. If I am worthy he will die by my hand and I will become the new Sith Master. Bastila: Jedi propaganda. The dark side is only a tool, and Malak will train me in its use. Eventually I will surpass my Master and challenge him. If I am worthy he will die by my hand.

Otherwise, if you're trying to redeem her and bring her back to the light:

2. Then strike me down, Bastila. I won't defend myself.
Bastila: What type of trick is this?
1. Remember what you once were, Bastila. A Jedi would never strike down a defenseless opponent. 2. You are not evil, Bastila. You will not strike down a defenseless opponent. 3. We meant something to each other, once. I don't believe you will strike me down.
Bastila: I am a Sith apprentice now. You place too much faith in what I used to be... and for that you shall pay!

These two options are mutually exclusive. Once again she heals fully before combat resumes. Once at least 150 damage has been inflicted:

This is your earliest opportunity to simply get this over with and kill her:

However, if experience is still needed then it's better to continue trying to redeem her and bring her back to the light:

2. I was redeemed, Bastila. You can be, too. 3. I was the Dark Lord, Bastila, and the Jedi Council let me live.
Bastila: You were a special case. The Council had no other choice. They needed you alive so they could discover the location of the Star Forge. It was an act of desperation. It was my responsibility to watch over you, to make sure you did not slip back into your evil ways. I was supposed to protect you from the dark side.
1. You did protect me, Bastila. 2. You can't protect someone from the dark side. Each individual must choose their own path. 2. You did more than protect me, Bastila.
Bastila: But at what cost? In protecting you, I fell to the dark side myself. Is that the price of a Jedi's redemption? Must another of the Order fall to save me? I cannot allow that to happen. Please, this is too painful. Strike me down. End this now, quickly. There is no other way. Bastila: I... I suppose you are right. Yet the path I have chosen is that of the dark side. I don't see any way I could atone for what I have done. I deserve to die. Bastila: It's true I possess... feelings for you. But was it only an illusion brought about by our bond? And what was the cost? Please... this is too painful. End it now, quickly. There is no other way.
Medium 2. [Persuade] Look into your heart, Bastila, and you will find the light.
Bastila: [Success] I... I know a flicker of the light still burns within me. Malak felt it too. He knew it could only be extinguished if I killed you. But what good is a single flicker of light against the sea of darkness I am drowning in? I can never atone for my betrayal.

A male character who has romanced her can earn half the points necessary to convince her with a single act of persuasion:

Bastila: [Success] You... love me? Heh. I... there was a time I yearned for and yet dreaded to hear those words. I loved you, too, but I could never... face who you were. Malak knew how I felt. If any act of persuasion fails:

Bastila: [Failure!] No! That bond is what took me down this path to begin with! It poisoned me... I hated myself for loving you and now I have betrayed everything! Bastila: [Failure] The Jedi code is nothing but words, the babblings of senile old Masters! The code cannot help me now! Bastila: [Failure] There is nothing in my heart but the blackness of the dark side! I am sick of your preaching, Revan!
Bastila: I ask you for an honorable death, but you are too weak to even grant me that! No more words! This must end with blood!

Beyond this point, you run out of options to earn points toward Bastila's redemption. Up to 120 points can be earned without needing to successfully persuade her (up to 170 points) or being a male character who has romanced her (up to 220 points), but if you have less than 100 points or decide not to trust her then she attacks after healing fully one last time before fighting to the death:

1. Help us defeat the Sith, Bastila. This will atone for what you have done.
Bastila: Yes, I... could join you in your battle against the Dark Lord. That alone would not make up for all I have done, yet... it would be a step in the right direction. But how would you be able to trust me? How do you know I wouldn't turn on you when you faced Darth Malak? How do you know the dark side wouldn't make me betray you again?
1. I trust you enough to leave myself open to your attack, Bastila.
Bastila: You play a dangerous game. Are you certain you wish to take this risk? I could end your life and gain Malak's favor with a single stroke of my lightsaber.
1. You won't, Bastila. Because I love you and I believe in you. 2. You won't, Bastila. I know you still serve the light side. 3. You're right. I suppose I can't trust you, after all.
Bastila: You are brave... and foolish. The dark side has wholly consumed me, and you will suffer for failing to see that! Bastila: A wise decision. You cannot trust me, and you cannot bring yourself to execute me. I see now there is only one way this can end. The time for words is done! Defend yourself!

2. I love you, Bastila, but after everything that's happened... 3. No. I'm sorry, Bastila, but I don't love you.
Bastila: I see. Thank you for your honesty. It's probably for the best that it goes no further. You saved me and I will always be grateful.

Otherwise:

Bastila: And... and you said you loved me. This may not be the best time to say it, but... 1. I do love you, Bastila.
Bastila: I love you, too. With all my heart.
1. You aren't afraid to love anymore?
Bastila: After this? No, nothing could make me feel safer than to be loved by you.

In either case:

Bastila: You should go. Malak awaits. This isn't over, yet... for any of us.

In every case:

Bastila: I should stay here, though. If we face Malak I am afraid his dark presence will overwhelm me. It would not be wise to expose myself to such temptation.
1. Bastila, I want you at my side when I face the Dark Lord. 2. You could use your Battle Meditation to aid the Republic fleet.
Bastila: I'm sorry, but the risk is too great. I am not wholly free of the dark side's shadow. Not yet. But you are more than a match for the Dark Lord. I understand that now. Bastila: Yes, that would be for the best. You don't need me to defeat Malak, anyway. Now I understand that a true Jedi is a match for any Sith. Even the Dark Lord himself.

You were unable to save Bastila from the dark side, and in the end you had no choice but to kill her so that the Republic capital ships have a chance to destroy the Star Forge. But you know that the Sith threat will never truly be over unless you find and destroy Malak himself.

Otherwise:

Bastila: I will stay here in this chamber and use my Battle Meditation to aid the Republic fleet. I am their only hope of destroying the Star Forge and ending the Sith menace. You must go and face Malak, but you have to hurry. Once I turn the battle in the Republic's favor we won't have much time to escape the Star Forge before it is destroyed.
Bastila: Good luck, my love... and may the Force be with you. Bastila: Good luck... and may the Force be with you.
Journal Entry Added The Final Confrontation
You've saved Bastila from the dark side, and she is now using her Battle Meditation against the Sith fleet. But you know that the Sith threat will never truly be over unless you find and destroy Malak himself.

In either case, as the space battle rages between the Republic and Sith fleets outside, Bastila no longer using her Battle Meditation against the Republic is decisive in turning the tide of battle in its favor, regardless of whether she's dead or alive:

Dodonna: There - a break in the Sith formations! Green squadron, move in!

Green squadron: Green squadron moving in.
Green squadron: Green squadron's through!
Vandar: Bastila is no longer using her Battle Meditation against us. The tide has turned!
Dodonna: Red squadron - into the breach!
Dodonna: Capital ships - reinforce their position!
Dodonna: The Sith fleet is in disarray! Now's our chance - hit that Star Forge with everything we've got!

The door to the west through which you entered the command center is still held closed, but that to the south can now be opened.

East Elevator[edit]

You're now alone at the north end of a large hangar which curves to the east. On either side are three droid generators, each with a terminal and spike bin beside it: Types A, C and D are along the east side and Types B, E and F are along the west side. If you try to use one of the terminals:

The spike bins are currently empty. As you approach the door in the south wall at its east end, it opens to reveal Darth Malak, flanked by two choking Jedi knights behind him. As you watch, he throws his lightsaber at the one on the right then uses Force Lightning on the one on the left, killing them both:

Darth Malak: I tire of this game, Revan. You have been a thorn in my side from the moment I seized the mantle of Dark Lord from your feeble grasp! You made a mistake coming here, Revan. The Star Forge fuels my command of the dark side. You are no match for me here. And this time you will not escape!

If you've returned to the dark side:

Dark 1. I am the Dark Lord reborn! Bow down before me, Malak! Dark 2. I am the true Sith Master! Prepare to die, Malak!
Darth Malak: You may have reclaimed your identity, Revan, but you have lost the power you once wielded! You are not the Dark Lord anymore. You are nothing!

If you have not returned to the dark side then you move closer to the light or dark side of the Force depending on your response:

Light 1. It's you who can't escape, Malak. Surrender and the Jedi might show you mercy.
Darth Malak: Is that what you call it? You think stripping away your power and your identity was an act of mercy, Revan? I would rather die!
1. I was saved from the darkness, Malak. You can be too, if you wish. Light Side Points Gained: +2
Darth Malak: Spoken like a true slave of the Jedi code. Save your preaching, Revan - I will have none of it!
2. The Sith slaughter ends here, Malak, with your death! 2. That can be arranged!
Dark Side Points Gained: -6
Darth Malak: Ha-ha! You are such a fool, Revan! You claim to be a Jedi, yet you feed on anger and hate! But even the power of the dark side cannot save you now!

In any case, the conclusion is always the same:

Darth Malak: You are an insignificant speck beneath my notice. I have surpassed you in every way and accomplished what you never could... I have unleashed the full potential of this Rakatan factory! You had no idea of the power within this place! Its very walls are alive with dark side energies! And now, my old master, I will let the Star Forge itself destroy you!

The door closes again, and the six forge droids generated in the hangar behind you start to converge on your position. If you try to use this door:

The door has been locked down. The generators must be deactivated before it can be opened again.

Deactivating the generators does open the door... but it's much quicker and easier to just unlock it or bash it open:

A short tunnel ends in the elevator door east, beyond which is the elevator to the Viewing Platform.

The only reason to stay behind and deal with the droids is if you still need to gain experience to level up to 20, which can be received for killing them:
