You can see everyone from the southeast corner of swoop registration.

Exit[edit]

The door exiting to Anchorhead is behind you in the east wall, in the northeast corner.

Tatooine Swoop Racing[edit]

If you speak to the track coordinator behind the counter by the west wall before signing up with Motta the Hutt:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Track Coordinator: Sorry, the track is only for racers that Motta has accepted and signed up. He pays for track upkeep, so it's his choice. Go talk to him and we'll see about setting you up.

Motta the Hutt is by the south wall:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Who are you? Ah, nobody. What do you want, huh? Handouts? Go dig a mine, fool.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I'm looking for information. Can you help? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. You will show me respect, worm!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Not interested in helping. Only interested in racing. I get enough beggars through here looking for money. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Hmm, what's that? A spine? Well now, that sets you above most of the scrub-hacks I meet in a day.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Let's have a look at you. Hmm... just a human... nothing really special. You race? Maybe own a swoop?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. I raced on Manaan. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. I have some experience.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: That's great. Except I don't care. Let me rephrase the important part of my question. Do you own your own swoop?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I raced on Taris. I won the season opener there.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Ha! You and twelve other liars. Planet blows up, race records are lost, and now everyone is a champion!
KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: My friend tells the truth. I am a Jedi... are you going to imply that I am lying, as well?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Ho ho! Now you are champion and travel with Jedi? Does the story get bigger with every telling?
KotOR Icon Mission.png Mission: Nobody here can compare with the racers you rode against on Taris. You'll wipe every record from the books on this backwater track!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Okay, okay, enough of the funny stuff. You think you're a racer, you'll be one. You have your own bike?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Well, I'll just say goodbye then. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 6. I'm not interested in this. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Yeah, you do that. I've got business to work on. Big business!

Just tell him you have your own bike, then negotiate the track maintenance fee:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: What? You again? Look, are you here to race or aren't you? I don't have time for anything else. What good are you?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 5. I have my own bike stored on my ship.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You got a bike, then you can race. I don't care about experience, so long as you can get out on the track. And if you crash and burn, that's your problem. I just need warm bodies to pad the roster between the pros. Err... there is the matter of a small track maintenance fee... 100 credits.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I can't pay that much.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Then you don't race! I pay out good money to encourage competition. I need to make it back somehow.
Always 3. [Persuade] Why not drop the fee? No racers means no crowds.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Well, I suppose you're right, but I'm not dropping it the whole amount. 50 credits. That's it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I can't pay that amount either.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: If you don't have the confidence to win back the money you give me, why should I care if you race or not! Bah! Pay it or leave, that's the deal.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I'll pay it. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I'll pay the 50 credits.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Good! That shows you mean business. Now you can use the track for recreational runs, or I can give you an official race right away.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Lost: 100 KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Lost: 50

Do not pay 100 credits as he can always be persuaded to drop the fee to 50, and it's easy to use the Force to persuade him that you don't need to pay anything at all:

Dialog
Low (Affect Mind) 3. [Force Persuade] I don't need to pay the fee.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] You don't need to pay the fee. It's just a formality. I'll let you use the track for practice and set up your first official race right away.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Just ask me when you want to start and... there's some business I need help with... if you're serious about promoting racing.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 5. I'll be back later.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: All right, but don't make me regret giving you track access. I need racers that race!
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Tatooine Swoop Racing
You have signed up for the swoop races on Tatooine. Motta the Hutt runs the races and will keep track of your times.

You're now free to participate in Tatooine Swoop Racing, or help Motta with some business, signing Nico...

Signing Nico[edit]

Nico Senvi is a young Tw'lek swoop racer standing in the northwest corner. If you try to speak to him before signing up with Motta the Hutt:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Go on, leave me alone. I've got stuff to worry about.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Anything I could help you with? What's bugging you?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Racer stuff. Nothing you'd understand. Don't mean to be rude, but it's kind of secret. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You race, right? Know anything about contracts? Ah, I shouldn't get into it. It's my problem.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I raced on Taris. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I just have some questions. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Poor baby. Make me care.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Ha! Sure! Race your bike out of that explosion? Everyone knows that the whole planet is gone. Nobody got out. I'm not in the mood for jokes, thanks. I've got things to think about. You wouldn't know anything about it. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: I don't feel like answering. I wouldn't be much help to you anyway. I just race. Don't know about anything else. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You don't know. Don't go thinking you know, because you don't know. I've got problems.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Deal with that Hutt Motta and you'll understand. Until then, I just don't want to talk about it.

After signing up with Motta, you can ask him with what sort of business he needs help:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What sort of business do you need help with? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Let's go back to some basic questions about Nico.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I make my money off of signing good racers. Good ones, not great ones. I want them young and stupid. I've got one. Nico Senvi. Great potential. Only started racing a year ago and loves it. He lives for it now.
KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: And? It sounds like you have something special. What do you want help with?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: What I want is simple. I want Nico to sign a contract with me, and I want you to convince him. I'll pay well.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Why won't he sign?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: The deal basically says that I fund his bike and repairs, but in return I take a *hefty* cut of his winnings.
KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: And you're surprised that the boy doesn't want to sign?
KotOR Icon Mission.png Mission: That isn't fair! On Taris you had to give a cut to the swoop gang sponsoring you, but at least the rider got the higher share of the winnings.
KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: More slavery. Just disguised.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: He knows it's harsh, but he can't afford to go pro on his own and he doesn't want to give up racing. I've got him where I want him. I just need you to give him a little push in the right direction. Or a big shove.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Why would he listen to me?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: He doesn't trust me. Actually, none of them do. I'm the promoter. I do it for money. They all just want the glory.
KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: I bet you just can't understand why they wouldn't trust someone who's only in it for the money, too. KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: I'm sure they wouldn't mind *some* of the credits, as opposed to getting it stolen out of their pockets.
KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: Money's honest, old man. More honest than a conniving Jedi.
KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: You know, for a brute you say the sweetest things.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You're a swoop-jock like him. You're new, but if you win enough he'll respect you. I'm counting on it. And if he doesn't, *make* him choose correctly. You look like you could scare some sense into him.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. What will you pay me?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: How does... 20 racing bonds sound? That should cover all your swoop costs on Tatooine nicely. I'll make it all back if he signs the deal. I know it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What are racing bonds?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Racing bonds are monetary notes I issue so local vendors know who my friends are. Any vendor on Tatooine will buy them. They are worth ten times their number in credits, and sometimes more. It depends on how much of a friend you are.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Aren't there other racers? Why him?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: He'll be great one day, I can tell. There are some pros here, but I'm not looking for experience. I want potential. Besides, he's young. He won't give me trouble like the older riders, or someone like you.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. I'm not interested in being your enforcer. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. I'll see what I can do.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: No, no, you are a representative, and you'll be his friend. Let him know what the right choice is. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You do that. It's for the best. Now, was there something else?
KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: Right. Tell me why we're talking to this guy again?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: It's the best way. I'll be here if you change your mind. Now, was there something else?
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
Motta the Hutt wants you to help him bully the young racer Nico into a very restrictive racing contract.

You can now ask Nico some questions about racing, and if he knows much about Tatooine:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Oh, hi. You another racer then? I heard someone new was talking to Motta. Always room for more, I guess.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Don't know how much longer I'll be around here, but maybe we'll have time for a few races. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Nice job beating my times, too. I guess my heart isn't in the racing. Contracts are distracting stuff.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I wanted to ask some questions about racing.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You have to step up and do it to know anything about it. You'll understand once you post some fast times. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Not sure there's much I could tell you. I mean, you have the track record.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. How long have you been racing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Just a few years. I used to run down in the canyons, but nobody sees you down there. I wanted crowds.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Are you any good?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: I've been told I am. I might go pro. I'm looking at some contracts but... that's between me and Motta.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Where is the best place to get bike upgrades around here?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: If there's anything around, it'll be at the Czerka store in their office in the center of town. Stock is scarce on this rock.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. What does racing pay?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Motta has some basic incentives for good times, which you probably know, but this is just an amateur track. The pro circuit is where the real credits are, but even that is hurting. I guess a lot of riders were on Taris.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Back to my other questions now.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Hurry it up, all right? I have things on my mind.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Do you know much about Tatooine?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Sorry. I've been here a few years, but only for the racing. Maybe ask over at Fazza's club. The hunters get around.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: All right. See you around the track.

You receive the same experience (250 XP in total) regardless of whether you convince Motta to give Nico a better contract or bully Nico into signing the existing one, but the latter is rewarded (at the expense of moving closer to the dark side of the Force). In both cases, you need to become champion before this quest can be completed.

Renegotiate[edit]

You can convince Motta to give Nico a better contract even before speaking to the swoop racer:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I think you should give him a better deal.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You're not going to pull that typical swoop-jockey attitude, are you? This is business, and I know what's best. What do you care whether I make money off the kid or not? He wants to race and you'll get paid. We all win.

It's obviously going to be difficult:

Hard 1. [Persuade] Treat him fairly or I'll start rumors your races are rigged. High (Dominate Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You want to give Nico a better deal!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] You wouldn't. That would be bad. Very bad. Even rumors like that could keep me out of the pro circuit. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Of course I could just give him a better deal. Did I say that? Wait, I guess it does make sense. His times *have* suffered since I made the offer. I mean, swoop-jocks are moody. They feel bad, they don't win.

If this fails, then threatening him first makes it easy to use your own powers of persuasion or the Force:

Dialog
Hard 1. [Persuade] Treat him fairly or I'll start rumors your races are rigged. Low (Affect Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You want to give Nico a better deal!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Failure] I don't think you would. It would taint the racers that won on my track. That includes Nico, and others. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Failure] No, no I don't. What is this, a joke? Quit fooling around, I mean business.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. You give him a better deal or I bury you under your track!
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Anchorhead is a safe town. I don't think you'll be able to do much of anything to me around here.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Now, if you've got nothing else but empty threats, I think we're done.
Easy 1. [Persuade] You hired me to bully *for* you. I'm no less a threat now. Low (Affect Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You know I could hurt you. Do as I say.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] You do have a point about that, and the guards can't be everywhere. Perhaps I should rethink this. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Failure] I'm not afraid of you. Now, if you aren't going to get Nico to sign the deal, just go away. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Of course, guards can't be everywhere. I'd prefer to avoid a fight, I think. I'll fix this.

However, even this isn't necessary if Zaalbar, Canderous, HK-47, Jolee or Bastila backs up your threat:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: I think otherwise! RRRAAAAARRRGGGHHH!! KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: Never underestimate a Mandalorian. If I want, there won't be enough of you left to identify. KotOR Icon HK-47.png HK-47: Threat: Guards give up, meatbag. Assassin droids will hunt your whole family tree. Reconsider. KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: *ahem* Do as we say, scoundrel! You don't want to anger a shortempered Jedi! KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: [Force Persuade] I have heard enough. You want to act in a fair manner. Now.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Okay, maybe... maybe I was a little hasty. I don't know what he said but I... I get the drift. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: A... a Mandalorian? May... maybe I was a bit hasty. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Well... an assassin droid, you say. No reasoning with them. Maybe... I was a little hasty. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Jedi... you're Jedi? I'll do this just so you leave. Who knows what you'll have me saying with your "waving hands." KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Of course it would be fairer if I gave him a better deal. Did I say that? Wait, I guess it does make sense.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: All right, I'll give him a better deal and make it back in the long run, I guess. You, of course, are not getting paid! I trust this is the last I will have to hear about this matter? Was there anything else?
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
You have convinced Motta to give Nico a better contract that will benefit both of them in the long term. Nico will want to express his thanks to you.
KotOR Icon XP.png Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 50 Convinced Motta to give Nico a better contract

If you try to talk about that business with Nico again:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Oh, no, I'm not talking to you about that anymore. I agree to strange things when you are around, that's for sure. Nico's got the best deal I've ever given, no lie. Now leave so I can figure out how to still make money off this.

If you speak to Nico again before becoming champion:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You again? I don't really feel like talking right now.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I talked to Motta about you.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Did you? I'm not sure that it's any of your business. Top racers keep to their own. I don't know you. Maybe if you were better on the track I might feel like talking about it. Someone who can turn out the fast times might understand.
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
Nico won't listen to what you have to say about Motta's new contract until you have proven you are as good a racer as he is, and his times are presumably as fast as the Tatooine official track record.
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
Even though you've arranged a better deal for him, Nico won't listen to what you have to say about Motta's contract until you have proven you are as good a racer as he is, and his times are presumably as fast as the Tatooine official track record.

Once you've become champion, you can tell him you've convinced Motta to give him a better contract:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: I suppose you've got a right to know track business, what with the times you've been posting.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I convinced Motta to give you a better contract.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You did? I don't believe it. I mean, I do, but I sure wasn't expecting it. I appreciate it. I really do.
KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: I'm impressed, helping a kid like Nico off to a decent start. Good job.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Now I can take my bike to the big races. There's not much of a circuit right now, but I'll be ready when it recovers.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. When do you think you'll be leaving?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Hard to tell. I'll get some more runs here first. I need the practice. I have to top *your* time.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Goodbye then. Good luck.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Thanks again. I meant it.
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
Nico has expressed his thanks for securing him a better deal with Motta.
KotOR Icon XP.png Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 200 Thanked for securing Nico a better deal
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: I have to thank you, you know? I don't know how you did it. I really don't.

Nico remains, but you can no longer ask him questions.

Bully[edit]

Otherwise, you can ask Nico why he doesn't want the deal with Motta:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Why don't you want the deal with Motta?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: It's not that I'm not grateful. I mean, it would get me into the pros. I don't have the credits to get in on my own. Not that I care about credits. I just want to race... but the deal with Motta is pretty bad. He'll get most of what I win.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Maybe I can talk to him about it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: You've posted some good times... he might listen to you. I would. I respect you as a racer. But... I kind of doubt he'd give me a better deal. He doesn't have to. He is putting up most of the money.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Thanks anyway, but I'll think it through myself.

Rather than convincing Motta to give him a better contract, you can try to convince him to sign the existing one:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I think you should sign the contract he offered. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Trust me, a fellow racer. Consider it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Do you now? You might know a good deal, I guess. You sure know your way around the track.
Easy 1. [Persuade] It's the best deal you'll get. You know it. Low (Affect Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You will sign the contract with Motta.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: [Failure] I'm still not liking the sound of it. I just don't know.

You move closer to the dark side of the Force if you successfully persuade or threaten him:

Easy 1. [Persuade] It's the best deal you'll get. You know it. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. It's simple: sign, or you'll die on this rock. Maybe soon. Understand?
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Nico Senvi: [Success] I suppose I do. Not much chance I'll get off this rock on my own, now is there?
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Nico Senvi: What? You're threatening me? I suppose I do need a kick in the tail to make up my mind. Maybe... it's for the best...

You move closest to the dark side if you can dominate his mind with the Force:

High (Dominate Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You will sign the contract with Motta.
KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: Forcing the boy to sign his life away? Is that really necessary? KotOR Icon Jolee.png Jolee: Tsk tsk. Not even willing to expend a bit of effort in actual persuasion, hey? Well, you do what you like. KotOR Icon Zaalbar.png Zaalbar: How is this different than slavery? You push the boy against his will. KotOR Icon Juhani.png Juhani: You should not force someone to do what they don't want.
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -4
Nico Senvi: [Success] I... I'll sign the contract. Yeah, I guess that's best. I mean, the deal can't be all bad, right?
Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: I mean, you'd know, right? And all I want is to race. Who cares about the credits... who cares. Thanks for... making things clear. If you don't mind, I think we're done. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Mission.png Mission: That promoter's going to bleed that poor kid dry... but I guess he's got to learn the only way to get by in this life is to look out for yourself! KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: That Hutt's going to suck every credit he can out of that kid, then toss him aside. Might as well have sold him to slavers.
KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: The weak serve and the strong profit. That's the way things should be.
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
You have convinced Nico that he should sign Motta's contract. He was resigned to his fate. Time to collect your fee from Motta.
KotOR Icon XP.png Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 50 Convinced Nico to sign Motta's contract
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Nico Senvi: Leave me alone, will you. I've got things on my mind.

Speak to Motta for your reward:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Ah, it's you again. So, is this about racing or business? One or the other, I've got no time for anything else.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Let's talk about that business with Nico.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Yes, the contract trouble I've been having. Have you talked to the boy? You don't get paid until he signs.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I talked to him. He's willing to sign.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I thought he would. Very good. I'll have him training off this barren rock as soon as possible. He'll make me rich. Now, I think I offered 20 racing bonds for the job. I'm happy to pay it.
KotOR Icon Item(s) Received.png Item(s) Received: Motta the Hutt
  • Racing Bonds (20)

You could simply accept this, but you might as well renegotiate on your own behalf:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. That will be fine. Good luck. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. All right, it's enough.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: He'll be the best there is one day, and I'll own him. Now, is there anything else?

Otherwise:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I think I should ask for more. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. You'll give me more or you will regret it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: We had a deal. It was fair and I don't see why you need more. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You've taken a lot of money from me already, winning each tier like you have. This is it. There's no more.

It's obviously going to be difficult:

Hard 1. [Persuade] I'm worth more. You wouldn't want word of this getting out. High (Dominate Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You will pay me more and like it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] I suppose I don't. No one would sign with me again. I'm sure we can come to an agreement. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] I'd... really like to pay you more. I think I can manage something. I don't know why I was arguing.

If this fails, then threatening him first makes it easy to use your own powers of persuasion or the Force:

Dialog
Hard 1. [Persuade] I'm worth more. You wouldn't want word of this getting out. Low (Affect Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You will pay me more and like it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Failure] Look, I paid you all that I plan to. That's it. Is there anything else?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Then I'll have to take it out of your hide!
Is there anything else?
Easy 2. [Persuade] You hired me to bully *for* you. I'm no less a threat now. Low (Affect Mind) 3.
You've been paid all that you will be paid. Now, is there anything else? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Of course, guards can't be everywhere. I'd prefer to avoid a fight, I think. I'll fix this.

However, even this isn't necessary if Zaalbar, Canderous, HK-47 or Jolee backs up your threat:

Who knows what you'll have me saying with your "waving hands."
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I'll pay you half again what I said, and that's all. Now, I have to plan for Nico's training. Is there anything else?
KotOR Icon Item(s) Received.png Item(s) Received: Motta the Hutt
  • Racing Bonds (10)

Issued by Motta the Hutt, these bonds are honored throughout the galaxy. Each digital certificate can usually be redeemed for around 60 credits simply by selling them to any merchant or at any store.

Each can be redeemed for 156 credits from Suvam Tan on Yavin Station, 2.6 times as much.

KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Signing Nico
Motta has rewarded you for helping sign Nico to a very restrictive contract.
KotOR Icon XP.png Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 200 Rewarded for helping sign Nico to a very restrictive contract

If you try to talk about that business with Nico again:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Hehe, nothing to talk about, friend. You made sure that Nico signed the best contract I've ever come up with. Everyone's happy too. He gets to race and I get almost everything he wins. I love swoop racing.

Unfinished Business[edit]

Once you've travelled to Korriban and accepted the offer of further employment from the Rodian Lurze Kesh outside Dreshdae's cantina, you can tell Motta the Hutt about the mysterious box in your cargo hold:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I have a box for you. Sent by Lurze.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Eh? What's this? A box? Oh... *that* box. Yeah, I know what box you're talking about. I thought that was supposed to be here a month ago. You take a detour, huh? Ahh, never mind. You open the box?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. No, of course not. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Of course I did. Wouldn't you have? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I did. It was... very interesting. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Does it make a difference?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Smart (wo)man. Live longer that way. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Maybe, maybe not. I'm thinking you didn't, or you wouldn't be standing here delivering it to me. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Eh? You opened it but you're still around to deliver it to me? Impressive. More likely you're just lying, but I don't care. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: No, it doesn't. I know what's in the box and that's good enough for me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I suppose you're expecting some payment now, huh? I'll give you 2000 credits for the box, and you can run on your way.
Medium 1. [Persuade] I expect a little more for transporting dangerous goods. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Is that all? Maybe I'll just keep the box until I get a better price. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. I'll take it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Failure] And I expect my goods to be delivered on time. You have a problem with the price, you talk to Lurze. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: You think so, huh? I'll remind you that you don't own the box. You're just a courier. You have a problem with the compensation, you talk to Lurze. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: Smart (wo)man. Here you go. Say hello to Lurze for me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I'll have some of my spaceport workers unload the box from your ship. You take the credits and go. Say hello to Lurze for me.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 2000

He can be persuaded to pay a little more:

Medium 1. [Persuade] I expect a little more for transporting dangerous goods. Low (Affect Mind) 2. [Force Persuade] You want to pay me a little more.
Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] The box isn't dangerous unless you're fool enough to open it. But I like your backbone, human. I'll give you 2500 credits. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: [Success] Hmm... I will pay you more... but I don't like it. Take your money and let me get back to race business.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Motta the Hutt: I'll have some of my spaceport workers unload the box from your ship. You take the credits and go. Say hello to Lurze for me.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 2500
KotOR Icon Journal.png Journal Entry Added: Unfinished Business
The mysterious box has been turned over to Motta the Hutt, who paid you for your trouble without much comment. Whatever Motta intends to do with the box will likely remain a mystery, however.
KotOR Icon XP.png Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 500 Turned over mysterious box to Motta the Hutt

Swoop racers[edit]

The three professional swoop racers stand around the north and east sides of the room: they can all be asked about themselves and racing, and told you're looking for something and asked who knows this planet best. You can also get them to leave, potentially receiving credits from them before they do so (this can be done to Yuka Rill and Zoriis Bafka without moving closer to the dark side of the Force).

There's also a human male swoop racer standing in the southwest corner, to the right of Motta the Hutt:

Swoop Racer
The track here isn't the greatest, but we have to practice somewhere.
I'm not racing until my parts come in. Who knows when that will be?
I'm not good enough to be ranked yet. More trial runs, I guess.
I was due to race on Taris, but I blew a qualifying race. Guess I'm lucky, huh?
Racer
We don't see a lot of new racers. Maybe you'll give Nico a run for his money.
Motta thinks pros will start coming here now that Taris is gone. I think the Hutt is dreaming.
Odd to see new racers like you here. This track was never too popular with the pros. Too far out of the way.
Oh, you're gonna like it here. Crowd is friendly, even if it doesn't really compare to racing for the big circuit.
Champion
I, wrecked my bike in a race a few days ago. Not that I could beat your times anyway.
Now that you've proven how good you are, stay away from Motta. Just ask around, you'll see why.
You're a pro, right? You ever race on Taris? Wish I had the chance before it blew.
You didn't have much competition here. The circuit is hurting after the loss of Taris.

A human female swoop groupie stands in front of the counter by the west wall:

Swoop Groupie
I love watching the races. Nothing much else to do.
Nico is the big favorite around here.
Not a lot of women on the swoop circuit. Not that there's much of a circuit left.
I Don't know how the riders do it. I get sick at speeds like that.
Racer
I'm surprised to see a new racer. How do you keep your bike running? Parts are scarce around here.
It's sad... one of our racers was on Taris. Ever race there? Probably not, I'd have heard of you.
Did I see your bike getting prepped? Not many new ones like that come through here.
I saw some footage of Taris before the Sith destroyed it... I swear I saw you... couldn't be.
Race lost
I guess you're not quite up to taking the big prize. It's a shame.
Your loss wasn't the worst I've seen. I saw Yuka's big crash on Taris two years ago.
I guess the pressure got to you out there. It's not the first time a racer lost their edge.
That's really too bad about your last race. You should have won it for sure.
Won first tier
So, was your win beginners luck? Most of the amateurs get stuck at about this level.
Yuka Rill isn't going to like you. He doesn't do well against new competition, and you're up against his time next.
Too bad about Garm's time being beat, but he's just starting out. You're looking like you've been at this a while.
You are quite the racer. Too bad there isn't much of a circuit anymore.
Won second tier
You've beaten all the local talents. Only Zoriis is left, and she's a pro. Well, Nico too.
Yuka Rill won't recover from the loss you handed him anytime soon. That Ithorian's a sore loser.
It's amazing the way you are shooting up the ranks. I haven't seen racing like that since Nico started getting good.
I bet Motta's going to start looking at you as a potential champ. Your times just keep getting better.
Male champion
You sure do look good out there on the track, champion. You look pretty good here too.
I like a man that can move fast when he needs to. Maybe I could trouble you for an autoprint... or something.
I like having a champion around, but you're probably destined for the circuit, once it's back up and running.
I have to say, you are looking very impressive to me right now. I hope you stick around.
Female champion
You are too good for Tatooine, you know that? The best I've ever seen.
What are you doing here when you can race like that? If the circuit were up, you'd be a star!
That was some good racing. Best time of the season, I think.
That was some impressive racing. Good to see you and Zoriis put the boys to shame.

Garm Totryl[edit]

The Rodian Garm Totryl standing in the northwest corner is a new swoop jock whose time must be beaten in Tier One. You can ask him about himself and racing, telling him you're looking for something and ask who knows this planet best:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Hi there. You waiting for a slot on the track? Me too. There's lots of racers coming through here now.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: New swoop jocks like me don't get much respect. Just takes practice, I guess. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: You're running some great races out there. You beat mine, anyway. I'll be that good someday. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: You're the best I've seen in a while, though. Maybe even better than Nico. That's pretty impressive.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I've a few things I wanted to ask. Spare a moment? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Yeah, yeah, follow your dreams. Just answer my questions, kid.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Well sure, but I don't know much besides the track. You even interested in the swoop track? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Sure, but you signed up, didn't you? If you've got any experience you probably know everything I'd tell you anyway. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: No need to get like that. I don't have any track time coming up anyway.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I want to ask about you and racing.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Heck, nobody is ever interested in me. I'm the new guy, Garm Totryl. Pleased to meet you. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: What's so interesting about me that you keep asking? I'm just a kid racer.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Is this the best place for racing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Ha! You're kidding, right? Every racer here would rather be someplace else, but this is it for most of us. Taris blowing up has messed up the swoop circuit. People are just looking for somewhere to keep their skills sharp. It sounds weird, doesn't it? Worrying about racing when all those people died? Nothing we can do.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Why have racers come here?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Motta pays for timekeeping and official records. You can race anywhere, but here, if you do good, it actually matters. That's why I stick around. No work, no future, but Tatooine at least has this. It's my shot... maybe.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. How long have you been at this?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Not that long. Just this season. I'm getting better... still too cautious. Good thing I've some pros to learn from.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you want to learn?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: How they keep their nerves steady, bike maintenance. You know, all of it. I'm not as good as some, but I try.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. What can you tell me about the other racers?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: You should ask them yourself. I don't feel right speaking for the pros. I'm the new guy to them.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: It's not my place to talk. I'd be nervous even talking about Nico. He's young like me, but he's practically a prodigy. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: You could talk to anyone now, after helping Nico like you did. You've made some friends, for sure. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: I doubt they'll have much to say to you, either. After that stuff with Nico, seems you're more a promoter than a racer.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What makes you say that?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Everyone thinks he's the next star of the pro circuit... if he signs with a promoter. Motta is really pushing him.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you think about that?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: I hear that the deal is pretty bad, but I'd take it in a second. I don't have Nico's skill, though.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Let's go back to my first questions.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Sure. I don't think I'll be getting much track time anyway.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I'm looking for something. Who knows this planet best?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Anyone but us swoop racers. Really, we can show you the track, but anything else, we've got no clue. You could check with the Czerka office. They like to think they know everything.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. I have to leave. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Race hard, watch for rocks.

You can make him leave with the following response, moving closer to the dark side of the Force:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Hi again. Something I can do for you? I'm just waiting for a crack at the track. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Wow, you're pretty good. I mean, I'm just a swoop-kid starting out, but you blew past my time easy. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: I hear you are moving up. I'll be that good, someday. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: I You are crazy-fast, you know that? I saw your races and... well, I'm just amazed. What do you need?
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
3. What makes you think you know anything about me, worm?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Uh, I didn't mean anything. I don't want any trouble.

You can get him to pay you to leave him alone before he does so:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. How about you pay me to leave you alone.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Hey, come on. I don't want any trouble. Here, take what little I have. Just don't hurt me.
KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: Shaking people down for petty credits. Reminds me of my days working for Davik.
KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: Maybe we should spend less time shaking people down for credits and more time on finding a way to stop the Sith. KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: I would have thought we have more important things to do than extort credits from the common folk. KotOR Icon Juhani.png Juhani: This is hardly becoming for a Jedi.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 20

Otherwise:

Dialog
Low (Affect Mind) 1. [Force Persuade] Go away. *Now.* KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Maybe I'm tired of your face. Maybe I'll remove it! KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Sure, just kidding you. But you be careful...
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: [Success] [His face drops. Clearly he has just realized that you are a very, very dangerous person.] KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Hey! I'm not looking to fight. You want to race when my turn comes around, you pay the fee and go ahead. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: Right... trying to prove that you can push around some kid swoop jock? I don't need this.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Garm Totryl: I'm not waiting around for you to snap. I'm no fighter. I just race.

Yuka Rill[edit]

The Ithorian Yuka Rill standing in the northeast corner, closest to the exit, is an old swoop jock whose time must be beaten in Tier Two. You can ask him about himself and racing, telling him you're looking for something and ask who knows this planet best:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: What do you want? You here for money? I'll pay the Hutt what I owe as soon as the circuit is back on its feet.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: No, wait, you don't look like a collector. You're just some kid. Go on, I don't have time for you. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Wait, no, I recognize you. You're some new racer. Get lost. I don't need more of you on my tail. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Wait, I know you. You slaughtered my second tier time out on the track. It's like you're trying to steal from me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I've a few things I wanted to ask. Spare a moment? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. Just answer my questions and I'll leave you alone.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: If I say no you'll probably hound me to death. Fine, what do you want? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Why can't you new racers just go learn the track for yourselves? Why would I want to help you beat my times? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I can hope, anyway. Just get it over with.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I've got nothing but time now that you've pushed me back to the slow times. Make it quick.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I want to ask about you and racing.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: There's not much useful you'll get out of me. Yuka Rill is on the way down. I can't match the young riders. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: You've heard all I have. If I had more, I'd use it to win, not tell you.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Is this the best place for racing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I'd better hope so. It's the last stop for me. If I can't get some decent times going, I may as well not leave. I wish I could use the destruction of Taris as an excuse, but I doubt I would have ever made it back there.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Why have racers come here?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Old guys like me can't make it on the good tracks, and the new racers come here to try and knock us down even further. I'm still trying to have one last good run... but it just isn't happening.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. How long have you been at this?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Too many years. I've raced on almost every track and all I've got to show for it is an aging bike.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. No good memories? That seems a waste.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I've got a few trophies stashed, but they don't pay the bills. Yep, I should have quit after the Coruscant Classic.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. What can you tell me about the other racers?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Bunch of babies, all of them. Well, except for Zoriis. She's got the goods like I never had. Good for her, I guess.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: If I have to say something good about the new racers, it would be about that Nico kid. He's got a future. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: And that Nico is going places, thanks to you. Wish I had someone like you at my back years ago. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: But what do you care about this? I heard how you roped Nico into his new deal. He'll be just like me real soon.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What makes you say that?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: He doesn't fear the track. You get old, you start to worry about failing. He just lets it all come to him.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you think about that?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Some promoter will use him up, and he'll end up in debt like me. It's already happening, I bet.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Let's go back to my first questions.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I suppose. Make it quick.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I'm looking for something. Who knows this planet best?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I don't know. Go ask some locals. I want to know as little about this dustbowl as possible.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. I have to leave. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Yeah, good riddance.

He'll no longer answer questions after this response:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: You again? Why don't you go bother someone else. It's not like I owe you money or something. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: You new racers only want two things from old pros: money and advice. My advice? Leave me alone. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Oh, it's you. You buried my best time on the track. What, are you *trying* to take money out of my pocket? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: You again? Come to rub my face in your times? You are practically stealing my paycheck every race you run.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Maybe you were right. Maybe I want money.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: You don't look like anyone I owe. Stop fooling with me.

It's easy to persuade him to pay, moving closer to the dark side if you use the Force:

Low (Affect Mind) 3. [Force Persuade] You know you need to pay me.
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Yuka Rill: [Success] I know I need to pay you. It's obvious my old loans have caught up to me. I knew it would happen.
Dialog
KotOR Icon Canderous.png Canderous: *whisper* I'm amazed at how many people that works on. The entire galaxy must be filled with weak-minded fools.
KotOR Icon Bastila.png Bastila: *whisper* The Force should not be used for profit and personal gain. As Jedi we should be above such things. KotOR Icon Juhani.png Juhani: A Jedi should not use the Force for personal gain. We are better than that. KotOR Icon Carth.png Carth: I'm no Jedi, but are you really supposed to be using the Force for things like this?

Otherwise:

Easy 2. [Persuade/Lie] There's a bounty on you, and I mean to collect it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: [Success] I should have known those loans would catch up to me. Never get your bike fixed in Hutt Space. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: [Failure] What do you take me for, an idiot? I'm not handing money to just anyone.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Here, this is everything I have. Now just leave me to figure out how I'm going to pay for track time.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 50
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I've got enough trouble without dealing with you. Leave me alone.

Otherwise, you can also move closer to the dark side of the Force and receive credits by threatening him:

Low (Affect Mind) 1. [Force Persuade] Your only purpose is to amuse me. Get out. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Show some respect! I could kill you where you stand! KotOR Icon Dialog.png 5. Never mind. I didn't mean anything by it.
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Yuka Rill: [His head tails twitch nervously. You are obviously not the type of person he wants to risk angering. Still, he tries to seem strong as he leaves.]
KotOR Icon Dark.png Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Yuka Rill: Wait, I don't want a fight. All right, if you want some money, I'll give it to you. I don't need you in my face like this.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: Go on, I've seen your type before. Go push the kids around. They don't put up much of a fight.
KotOR Icon Credits.png Credits Received: 50
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Yuka Rill: I'm not waiting for you to lose your temper around me. It's not worth it.

In these cases, he leaves.

Zoriis Bafka[edit]

The Twi'lek Zoriis Bafka standing by the east wall, to the left of Motta the Hutt, is a respected swoop jock whose time must be beaten in Tier Three to become champion. You can ask her about herself and racing, telling her you're looking for something and ask who knows this planet best:

Dialog
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Yes? Is there something you wish? I have a moment or two while others post their times.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Is this a racing matter? Perhaps you are interested in taking up the sport? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: I'm sure you will be racing again soon yourself. You have shown that you have the necessary skills.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I wanted to ask a few questions, if you have the time. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I just have some questions. Don't bother getting friendly.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: I'm not so preoccupied with the track that I can't spare a few minutes. Go ahead. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: I always have time for a fellow swoop racer. Go ahead. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: All right, I will be as brief as possible. Ask away.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. I want to ask about you and racing.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: My name is Zoriis Bafka. I suppose I am one of the more experienced racers here. What do you want me to answer? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: I am not used to such attention. What do you want me to repeat?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Is this the best place for racing?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Perhaps not, but it will do for now. Professional racers like myself travel wherever the purses are highest. It's no secret that one of the most popular tracks was lost with Taris. Other promoters will need time to organize. In the meantime, we will race at the smaller venues. This is almost a recreational stop for me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. If this track is so small, why bother?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: You lose the skills if you don't use them. I could race on any open road, but competition gives the push to get better. Besides, if my presence lends a little prestige to the track, maybe we'll get some new racers out of it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. How long have you been at this?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: A few years, but I raced under a different name when I was young. My early career was not very spectacular.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. Why did you change your racing name?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: It wasn't that big of a deal. I made the jump from one league to another and wanted to shed some baggage. Don't waste much thought on it. It was purely a personal matter that has no bearing today.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. What can you tell me about the other racers?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: There are some promising newcomers here. Garm tries hard and I wish him well, but Nico is the one to watch.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: It's invigorating to watch him discover his skills. I hope he manages to remember why he took up the sport. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: But you already know about him. The favor you have done for him will help him greatly in years to come. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: But you know about him. He will be a champion, but with his deal he won't see many of the benefits of it.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What makes you say that? KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. He should have been smarter.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: The race is not just about speed. It is a business, and we are the product. He must market himself carefully. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Are you denying your role in his choice? I think it was fairly explicit that you pushed him into the deal. But, I suppose it was his choice, even with your... vigorous encouragement.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 1. What do you think about that?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: It is a necessary side to the sport. We must make someone money, or there would be no circuit.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Let's go back to my first questions.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: If you wish. I don't mind answering.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 2. I'm looking for something. Who knows this planet best?
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: I must confess that I haven't had much time to learn about this planet. Talk of Taris has seemed more important. Some of the hunters in Fazza's lodge seem like they would know more than I would, but that wouldn't take much.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. I have to leave. Goodbye.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Racer's luck be with you.

You can make her leave with the following response:

KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Hello again. Have you had a chance to look more closely at our sport? KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: Well, I am impressed with your efforts on the track. You show the promise of a gifted beginner. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: You have certainly shown your skill on the track. I imagine you'll be taking aim at my times next. KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: The track is yours today, I see. Well done beating my time. The sport needs people that give the crowd a spectacle.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png 3. Your petty hobbies are of no interest to me.
KotOR Icon Dialog.png Zoriis Bafka: All right. Merely making conversation. I'm not looking for a fight.

You move closer to the dark side if you use the Force:

Low (Affect Mind) 1. [Force Persuade] A fight? You are nothing to me. Leave. KotOR Icon Dialog.png 4. Of course not. I meant no harm.
