Your first swoop race on Taris.

You're first introduced to swoop racing on Taris, where you must win the annual swoop gang race between the Hidden Beks and the Black Vulkars to complete the Search for Bastila. Since competing and winning is mandatory it isn't difficult, but it serves as a tutorial before you can choose to take on the greater challenges (and rewards) of the swoop racing circuits of Tatooine and Manaan.

The Mechanic at the Swoop Platform runs over the basics of handling a swoop bike for the first time:

Mechanic: It's pretty simple, really. First, try not to crash into anything. There's debris and obstacles scattered all over the course, so watch out. All swoops are equipped with dynamic deflector systems, so hitting an obstacle won't cause you to crash. But it will shake you up a bit and slow you down. The track also has accelerator panels built into its surface. If you fly over one it'll give your swoop a boost of speed, so try to hit 'em when you see 'em. When the engine starts running hot you'll get a warning and you'll have to switch gears. Other than that just try to hang on. You'll be fine.
1. Okay, let's start the race! 2. Forget it. Let's just get to the racing!
Mechanic: Hold on... I better explain the rules to you. Each rider goes out on the track alone. At the end of the day, whoever posted the fastest time is the winner.
Left-click the mouse to accelerate and shift gears. Use the Movement keys (D and A) to avoid obstacles and hit the accelerator pads.

Tatooine Swoop Racing[edit | edit source]

Swoop Registration on Tatooine is in south central Anchorhead. Once you've signed up with Motta the Hutt after dealing with the track maintenance fee, you can speak to the Rodian track coordinator behind the counter by the west wall to hear what the track records are:

Track Coordinator: Well, another swoop-jock come to give the track a try? It's just a 20 credit timing fee for recreational runs.
Dialog
4. Can I hear what the track records are?
Track Coordinator: We keep tabs on all active racers. Currently we have information on you, Garm Totryl, Yuka Rill, and Zoriis Bafka. Nico has withdrawn for the time being.
1. What do you have on me?
Track Coordinator: Nothing yet. You'll have to put in some track time before we can record your results. Track Coordinator: You are the current track leader.
Track Coordinator: Your best time was #:##:##. Your first time was #:##:## and the last time we have for you is #:##:##.
2. What do you have on Zoriis?
Track Coordinator: She is the current track leader with a time of 0:22:51. Track Coordinator: Her best time is 0:22:51, which you have beaten.
3. What do you have on Yuka Rill?
Track Coordinator: Yuka Rill's best time is currently 0:23:29. Track Coordinator: His best time was 0:23:29, which you have beaten.
4. What do you have on Garm?
Track Coordinator: His current best time is 0:23:90. Track Coordinator: You have made short work of his best time of 0:23:90.
5. Let's go back to my other questions.
Track Coordinator: Just don't keep me too long. Other racers might want to have a run down the track. Do you want a race?
3. Why is there a fee?
Track Coordinator: Well, Motta pays for timing on official runs, but rec-runs are staffed by volunteers. They deserve a little something. Besides, paying for runs keeps usage down. That way we don't crowd the pros off the track.
1. I'd like to try an officially timed race.
Track Coordinator: You'll have to go through Motta for that. He keeps track of all official standings at this track. There's money in it too. He pays riders for good times to encourage competition.
5. No thanks. Goodbye.
Track Coordinator: All right. Anyone else want to step up?

You can also pay for a recreational run, at a fraction of the cost of an officially timed race:

Dialog
Track Coordinator: Want to take an unofficial run around the track? You've beat everyone, I know, but it's good to keep your skills sharp. 20 credits.
2. I'll pay for a recreational run.
Track Coordinator: Very good. We'll have your bike put in position for the next time trial. Get ready, it won't take long.
Credits Lost: 20

For an officially timed race, you must return to speak to Motta by the south wall. He can talk about the rewards (what the tiers are, what each tier pays, racing bonds and if there are any pro racers here) and give you the basics on how to race (including any hazards on the track):

Motta the Hutt: Ah, it's you again. So, is this about racing or business? One or the other, I've got no time for anything else. Motta the Hutt: You again, hmm? I hope you plan to do better than your last race... not that I don't like taking your money.
Dialog
3. Let's talk about swoop racing.
Motta the Hutt: Yes, you'll be wanting to race. I'm sure you'll give the swoop fans a good show. Motta the Hutt: Looking to make up for your previous disgrace? If you keep losing, I'll have to reconsider letting you on my track. Motta the Hutt: Very well, but you've already proven your skill on my track. What else do you want?.
3. I want to talk about the rewards for racing.
Motta the Hutt: Ah, I set up a quick three-tier system so people know where they stand. I pay for the first time to reach each tier. Motta the Hutt: I give rewards for winning, not flitting around like you're chasing womp rats. My three tier system is not for the weak of skill. Motta the Hutt: For you? Nothing. I've already paid you for all three tiers. There's no more. Nothing. Go hit another track.
1. Why aren't rounds used, like on Manaan?
Motta the Hutt: Here on Tatooine we do things Motta's way. With Taris gone, there's no circuit governing organization to say I am wrong.
1. Why aren't rounds used, like on Manaan? 1. Explain what the different tiers are.
Motta the Hutt: Tier one here is strictly amateurs. Might get a good race out of them now and then, but they aren't going anywhere. Reach Tier two and you show promise. You're still fodder for the pros, but you're pretty good. Tier three... only one of my local guys in that range. Nico. Good chance to go pro... if he knows what's good for him.
2. What does each tier pay?
Motta the Hutt: Tier one is 10 racing bonds. Tier two I pay 30 racing bonds. Tier three I give 80 racing bonds. You'll agree the amount is fair. I pay each level only once. I'm not here to support you. I only pay to encourage constant improvement.
1. What are racing bonds?
Motta the Hutt: Racing bonds are monetary notes I issue so vendors know who my friends are. Any merchant will buy them. Each bond is worth 60 credits, give or take. It depends on the merchant.
3. Are there any pro racers here?
Motta the Hutt: There aren't a lot of pro racers *anywhere* with Taris gone. I'm going to try and build up one or two of my own. But, I suppose there are a couple of pros here. Some "has-been" and "never-were" types. That sort of thing. Zoriis Bafka is the best of the lot, outside my local champ Nico. Most racers in her league never stop here.
4. Let's go back to my other questions. Motta the Hutt: Hurry it up, I don't have all day.
4. Give me the basics on how to race.
Motta the Hutt: The track crosses the dunes of Tatooine. You will race against times set by other racers. There will be no other swoops on the track. Your bike likely has the standard five gears to shift through. As your speed increases, watch the indicators in the lower left to know when to shift. Shift at the wrong time and your swoop will accelerate poorly or slow down. Shift correctly and you will optimize your performance. You can also steer over "swoop boosters" placed along the route. These will increase your speed substantially for a short time.
1. Are there any hazards on the track?
Motta the Hutt: There are obstacles that you must watch for. Steering over rocks won't damage your bike, but it will slow you down.
5. I'll be back later.
Motta the Hutt: All right, but don't make me regret giving you track access. I need racers that race! Motta the Hutt: Go then, but don't hog the track with rec-runs. I need my pros to keep their skills up. You depress them.

The rewards for winning each tier are as follows:

Tier Racer Time XP Racing Bonds Value
Yavin Other
One Garm Totryl 0:23:90 75 10 1560 600
Two Yuka Rill 0:23:29 150 30 4680 1800
Three Zoriis Bafka 0:22:51 525 80 12480 4800
Total 750 120 18720 7200

Once you're ready to race, there's the small matter of the racing fee:

Dialog
2. Just set me up with a race.
Motta the Hutt: Certainly. We just need to clear up the positioning fee. All racers pay the same before each officially timed race. 100 credits.
2. I already paid a maintenance fee. 2. Haven't I already dealt with this fee?
Motta the Hutt: The fee is due before each race. How else am I supposed to sponsor prize money at the level I do? I need to see some returns. I am investing in my riders, but I also need to see profit now. You'll agree with my logic. If you don't, you don't race.
3. Will you negotiate on the price?
Motta the Hutt: I don't feel that I need to. The price is reasonable. Motta the Hutt: I have already given you a free race. Don't anger me by further insulting the reasonable nature of my prices. Pay or don't race.
Medium 1. [Persuade] I'll put on a good show. You'll make your money back.
Motta the Hutt: [Failure] The price has been named and you will pay it. I don't see why you should be exempt.

For your first race he can be persuaded to extend a discount to you, and he'll let you race for free if you use the Force:

Medium 1. [Persuade] I'll put on a good show. You'll make your money back. link=Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic}}/Force powers#Affect Mind 2. [Force Persuade] You want to let me race for free.
Motta the Hutt: [Success] Eh, fine, I will extend this discount to you, if only to close your mouth. I'll have your bike moved into position. Motta the Hutt: [Success] Maybe I will let you race once for free. Yes, I think I will. I'll have your swoop moved into position on the track.
Motta the Hutt: But I warn you, I have people to make sure I don't give too many favors. You won't get this discount again.
Credits Lost: 50 Credits Lost: 0

Otherwise, you must pay 100 credits for your first, and every subsequent, race:

1. I will pay the 100 credits.
Motta the Hutt: I admire that you are so eager to get back out there after your loss. Let's hope you do better. I'll have your bike placed in position. Motta the Hutt: Fine, fine. We'll have your bike brought to the starting position. Let's see what level of race we should give you.
Credits Lost: 100

Each tier is a separate race, so even if you beat the third tier time in the first, you'll still need to race the next two tiers, costing minimum 200 credits. It takes money to make money...

If you fail to win the tier:

Motta the Hutt: And what do you call that, then? Winners draw the crowd, not lazy times like that. Are you sure you are up to the competition?

However, with practice it's possible to beat even the 0:22:51 third tier time, or even record sub-0:22:00:

Tatooine Swoop Racing (00:30)

Tier One[edit | edit source]

Motta the Hutt: You'll go against Garm Totryl's time in the first tier. He's a local boy new to the sport. The time to beat is 0:23:90. Swoop racing fans, we have an official race about to commence! Make some noise for this new contender!
Motta the Hutt: You've passed the first tier and have earned 10 racing bonds. Not a bad showing for a beginner. You beat Garm's time easily. Take this, with my thanks. We'll see if you can do any better in tier two.
Journal Entry Added Tatooine Swoop Racing
You have won the first tier of races on Tatooine.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 75 Won first tier of races
Item(s) Received Motta the Hutt
  • Racing Bond (10)

Tier Two[edit | edit source]

Motta the Hutt: Well, you made it past the first tier, so let's try the second. Yuka Rill is the current leader. The time to beat is 0:23:29. Attention! A second tier race is about to begin! Show your support for this up and comer!
Motta the Hutt: You passed the second tier and have earned 30 racing bonds. I'm beginning to think it was a mistake to sign you up. I suppose you'll be up against my local pro attractions in tier three next. You've already ruined Yuka Rill.
Journal Entry Added Tatooine Swoop Racing
You have won the second tier of races on Tatooine.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 150 Won second tier of races
Item(s) Received Motta the Hutt
  • Racing Bond (30)

Tier Three[edit | edit source]

Motta the Hutt: Hmm... it's time to put you up against tier three. Let's see how you do against Zoriis Bafka, a pro. The time to beat is 0:22:51. Attention! Motta the Hutt presents the cream of swoop racing, a tier three match! Let this almost-champion know what you expect!
Motta the Hutt: It's a big payout for you. You shattered my track record and took tier three. 80 racing bonds was the deal. That's the last I'll be giving you, I hope. You're too fast for most of my racers.
Journal Entry Added Tatooine Swoop Racing
You are now champion of the swoop track on Tatooine, having won all three official time tiers.
Experience Points (XP) Received:
  • 525 Won all three official time tiers
Item(s) Received Motta the Hutt
  • Racing Bond (80)

If you talk about swoop racing after becoming champion and ask him to set you up with another race:

Motta the Hutt: Sorry now, I can't do that. You've won all three tiers and I'm not putting you in any more officially timed runs. I don't want my racers getting discouraged... and I don't have much interest in signing you. I think you'd be... difficult. Anyway, if you want to do any recreational races just for practice, talk to the track coordinator. He'll set you up.

Upon exiting swoop registration, a Twi'lek swoop fan outside has to get your autoprint:

Ganda Kaitoova: You! You're the one! You beat Zoriis Bafka's time? I have to get your autoprint.
Dialog
1. What? My autoprint? Are you serious?
Ganda Kaitoova: Sure I am! You are fast for a human, and once the races are running regular again, you'll be famous. Well, maybe you will. If you start winning on the real tour, I want to be able to say I saw you when you were just starting out. How about it?
1. Sure, why not? Scan away. 2. Go away, I don't have time for you.
Ganda Kaitoova: Really? That is great of you. You will be a fan favorite. Some of the racers sell their prints, but that is just rude. Here, just put your hand on this pad. Thanks again. I know I'll be seeing more of you, human. Ganda Kaitoova: No? Why not? I just wanted to get a mark from the best new racer on the circuit. What is wrong with that? If you are so full of yourself now, I would hate to see what you would be like if the pro tour was back up. Keep your print, then.

Manaan Swoop Races[edit | edit source]

Swoop registration on Manaan can be found at the west end of Ahto East. The Maintenance Officer, the Selkath T'sslth, stands behind the north end of the registration desk in its east wall, where you can speak to him to book practice runs for a small fee.

T'sllth: Hello there. Are you looking to book the swoop course for a practice run? There will be a small positioning fee of 20 credits to have your swoop bike readied. T'sslth: Welcome, Sector Champion. Would you like to book the swoop course for a practice run? For a small fee of 20 credits you can keep your skills in top shape.
Dialog
1. I want an officially timed race.
T'sslth: Please speak to the Course Regulator for information on challenging the current leaders in each race category.
3. Why is there a fee?
T'sslth: We find that racers are more careful when they are funding the course with each race. Besides, we must defray maintenance costs somehow. And please, no haggling. I am not authorized to give a discount even if I wished to.
4. No thanks. Goodbye.
T'sslth: Very well. Goodbye.
2. I'll pay for a practice run.
T'sslth: Certainly. Your swoop will be towed into position immediately. It shouldn't take long to begin the run.
Credits Lost: 20
T'sslth: That was a good run. You would do well in a tournament. Would you like another unofficial run? It would require another 20 credit positioning fee. T'sslth: Very good, though I should expect no less from the Sector Champion. Would you like to race again? It would require another 20 credit positioning fee.

Before doing so, it's best to go down the short ramp to the door in the north wall labeled Swoop Racers Only to enter the Racers' Lounge and use the swoop records panel in the northeast corner, to be shown the times you need to beat:

The Course Regulator, the Selkath Sslamoth, stands behind the south end of the registration desk. He can talk about the rewards (what the rounds are, what each round pays and the current crop of racers) and give you the basics on how to race (including any hazards on the course):

Sslamoth: Greetings to you, off-worlder. Are you here as a spectator, or will you be entering the swoop field as a contender?
Dialog
1. I am interested in racing. 2. Can you help me with information? 3. Tell me about what goes on here.
Sslamoth: I'm sure you are. We welcome all racers, regardless of professional status. We are trying to maintain a full field of competitors. Sslamoth: I'm sorry, but I'm sure there are others that will have what you need. My duty is to organize the races, and I pay attention to little else. Sslamoth: You must be very new to Manaan if you are unfamiliar with the swoop races. Our course is one of the most respected in the sector.
Sslamoth: Of course, with the destruction in Taris, we're in a bit of a rebuilding phase. Our Sector Champion was one of the casualties there.
1. I won the season opener on Taris. 2. I have raced on Tatooine.
Sslamoth: I hesitate to believe that. Sith interference disrupted any holo-feed that might have verified your story. We only know that all on Taris were lost. Sslamoth: Perhaps you have, but that is not a recognized circuit track. Motta the Hutt is not a respected promoter, no matter what he says. He has also altered the payment structures set up for the swoop circuit. Of course, most of the governing circuit organization was lost on Taris.
1. I won the season opener on Taris. 2. I have raced on Tatooine. 3. I would like to sign on as a racer.
Sslamoth: You are welcome to prove your skill here, regardless of experience. The course is open to any that have the means to participate. 100 credits must be paid for each officially timed attempt that you make. This amount will be due before each race.
4. I don't need anything. Never mind. 4. I'm not interested in this. Goodbye.
Sslamoth: As you will. Please return if you have business related to the races.
Sslamoth: Greetings again. Will you be racing today? We're always looking for serious competition for the established riders.
2. I want to talk about the rewards.
Sslamoth: I'm afraid your recent performance hasn't been worthy of payment. Improvement will be needed on your part. Sslamoth: You have already achieved the pinnacle of the sport, and can't earn any more at this time. You'll be notified when more races are scheduled.
2. I want to talk about the rewards. 1. Go over the system anyway.
Sslamoth: Races on the Manaan course are organized in the galactic standard three round system. Each round pays differently.
1. Tatooine uses tiers instead of rounds. Why the difference?
Sslamoth: Tatooine is not recognized, and won't be while Motta insists on refusing to accept galactic standards. When the circuit is reestablished, he will fall in line.
1. Tatooine uses tiers instead of rounds. Why the difference? 1. Tell me what the rounds are.
Sslamoth: Here on Manaan, Round One is the domain of hobbyists and amateurs. I mean no disrespect by that. They just can't afford the faster swoops yet. Round Two is populated by the beginner touring racers. They have decided to invest in the sport, and are attempting to make it pay. Round Three is usually only attainable by seasoned professionals. There have been exceptions, but only rarely.
2. What does each round pay?
Sslamoth: Round One pays 500 credits. Round Two pays 2000 credits. Round Three is 5000 credits. These are relatively standard values for the sport. Each round is paid out only once per tournament. The leader that shows dominance in all three is named Sector Champion.
3. Describe the current crop of racers.
Sslamoth: Sparce. Taris took a great many good racers with it when it was destroyed. Including our Sector Champion, Sakul Ondondanax. Currently our biggest attractions are Casandra Mateil and Hukta Dax. They are the only touring professionals present for this tournament.
Sslamoth: But, even with such auspicious competition, Queedle is the racer getting the biggest responses. He's a local favorite, and very talented. Sslamoth: The racer getting the biggest crowd response was a local underdog named Queedle, but he has decided to retire. A loss, to be sure. Sslamoth: The biggest surprise of this tournament has been Queedle. He's gone from underdog to champion in short order. The crowd loves him for it.
4. Let's go back to my other questions. Sslamoth: Certainly. I'm always accommodating to the racers.
3. Give me the basics on how to race.
Sslamoth: The course is laid out in buoys across the ocean surface of Manaan. You race against times set by others, with no other swoops on the track.
1. Are there any hazards on the course?
Sslamoth: There are obstacles that you must watch for. Steering over floating buoys won't damage your bike, but it will slow you down.
4. I'll be back later.
Sslamoth: Very well. I will tell our organizers to have the course ready for your return. Sslamoth: Of course, Sector Champion.

While the rewards for beating each round are always the same, the difficulty of doing so increases if you help Queedle upgrade his swoop bike:

Round Racer Time Racer Time XP Credits
One Queedle 0:23:82 Casandra Mateil 0:23:25 100 500
Two Casandra Mateil 0:23:25 Hukta Dax 0:22:50 200 2000
Three Hukta Dax 0:22:50 Queedle 0:22:48 400 5000
Total 700 7500

Once you're ready to race, you must pay the 100 credits racing fee. For your first race, it's always possible to use the Force to persuade him you don't need to pay, although you move closer to the dark side of the Force:

Dialog
1. I'm ready to race.
Sslamoth: Very well, but before we place your swoop in the starting position, I must collect the 100 credit fee. Sslamoth: Your persistence is admirable after your last race being such a disappointment. First I must ask that you pay the 100 credits racing fee.
2. I can't pay that much.
Sslamoth: I am sorry, but we cannot make exceptions. We find that racers are more considerate of the course if they have to pay for upkeep.
link=Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic}}/Force powers#Affect Mind 4. [Force Persuade] I don't need to pay the fee. Dark Side Points Gained: -2
Sslamoth: [Success] Perhaps you don't need to pay the fee for this race. Yes, I think that is an exception we can make this one time. I'll warn you, though, I will not be able to offer this option again. My accounts are very closely monitored. Now, let's look at who you will be timed against.

Otherwise, it's easy to persuade him to reduce the first fee to 50 credits:

Easy 3. [Persuade] Lowering the fee would encourage new racers.
Dialog
Sslamoth: [Success] I would tend to agree. We already have a number of racers that are struggling. I will drop the fee to 50 credits. Sslamoth: [Failure] I'm sorry, but I can't make that exception in this case.
2. I can't pay that amount either.
Sslamoth: I'm sorry, but that it the best I can do at the moment. My accounts are closely monitored.
1. I'll pay the 50 credits. 1. I'll pay the 100 credits.
Sslamoth: Very good, off-worlder. Now we must determine what time you will be trying to beat. Let's have a look at the standings.
Credits Lost: 50 Credits Lost: 100

However, 100 credits need to be paid before each subsequent race. Each round is a separate race, so even if you beat the time for round three in the first, you'll still need to race the next two rounds, costing minimum 200 credits. It takes money to make money...

If you fail to beat the round:

Sslamoth: That was... unfortunate. Your performance just now was not of very high quality. You will need to improve.

However, with practice it's possible to beat even the 0:22:48 final round time, or even record sub-0:22:00:

Manaan Swoop Races (00:30)

Round One[edit | edit source]

Sslamoth: Queedle is a local favorite, but this won't be much of a race. His swoop simply isn't professional quality. Time to beat, 0:23:82. Manaan swoop racing fans, we have a race about to commence! Show your respect as the newcomer challenges Queedle for Round One placing! Sslamoth: Casandra Mateil is your opponent for this round. Her time of 0:23:25 remains the respectable mark to beat. Racing fans, your attention! A new challenger will now attempt to unseat Casandra Mateil! Let them hear you!
Sslamoth: Winners of the first round are paid 500 credits. It's enough to cover your expenses, but you'll have to keep racing to really make it pay. We'll record this for future reference, and wish you well on your attempt to reach Sector Champion.

If you speak to Queedle after beating him:

Dialog
Queedle: Hello there. I... wanted to thank you for showing me I should get out of the swoop circuit. I just don't have what it takes. You beat my time easy, and you're not even a pro. I'm taking the hint and leaving before I lose all my credits in the sport. I really wanted to make a go of it... but I guess you can't always do what you want. Well, you can. Nice racing. Good luck on your career.
1. Why don't you keep trying? 2. It's good to know your limits. 3. Quitter! Stand up for yourself! 4. This sport doesn't need losers.
Queedle: It's too late for that. Maybe if I could have had one last good run... maybe if I could have upgraded my swoop. Ah, it doesn't matter. Queedle: I suppose, but I wanted to go past them. Do you know that no Aqualish has ever taken Sector Champion? I had hoped... Queedle: That won't work now, I think. You and all the other racers have outclassed me in every round. I just don't have the resources to compete. Queedle: I guess it doesn't. I just couldn't compete with the professionals, or even the serious amateurs. I was never even in the running.
Queedle: Thanks anyway, but I'll be leaving now. Back to the processing job, I guess. This was fun while it lasted. Goodbye. Queedle: Ah, it's too late for that. Maybe if I'd got some swoop upgrades... I don't know. It was fun while it lasted, but it's over. Goodbye. Queedle: Maybe if I had been able to get my swoop upgraded... I don't know. It's too late now. It was fun while it lasted, but it's over. Goodbye.
Journal Entry Added Manaan Swoop Races
You beat his first round time, so Queedle has decided to quit racing. Whether it was time or money, he thinks he just doesn’t have what it takes to compete with the professionals.
Queedle: I had fun for a while, but I just can't compete without upgrades. I'll leave it to you professionals. Goodbye.

Round Two[edit | edit source]

If Queedle has not upgraded his swoop bike:

Dialog
1. I'm ready to race.
Sslamoth: Er... before you do... your next race would be against the leading time set by racer Hukta Jax. He was very insistent that you speak with him first. Please, try not to anger the Gamorrean. He could prove troublesome, and we don't want the scandal of having to jail professional swoop racers.
1. Where is he?
Sslamoth: He will be in the Racers' Lounge, the room just to the east.
Journal Entry Added Manaan Swoop Races
The race organizer on Manaan says that the current Sector Champion Hukta Jax wants to speak with you before you do another official race.

Go down the short ramp to the door in the north wall labeled Swoop Racers Only to enter the Racers' Lounge and speak to the Gamorrean:

Hukta Jax: Yeah, you come talk to me. I got something to say to you, little racer. Hukta Jax doesn't like how fast you go.
Dialog
Hukta Jax: I told you once already, and I want you to remember; you don't win the Sector Champion spot. If you do, there will be trouble.
1. I will race, and I will win. 2. I don't want any trouble... 3. I'll think about what you said. 4. Try anything and you'll end up dead!
Hukta Jax: Then you and Hukta Jax are gonna have problems, I promise you that. You was warned, fair and square. Hukta Jax: Then you is smarter than you look. I likes it when people are reasonable. Just stay away from the track. Hukta Jax: Sure, you think. While you do that, stay away from the course. I's can make things very bad for you. Hukta Jax: Maybe you end up dead first. Maybe it will be painful, too. I don't like when people don't do what they should. You win and you get hurt.

Ignore the warning about winning:

Sslamoth: Hukta Jax is your opponent now. His time of 0:22:50 is your mark. I trust you are ready? Manaan race fans! A new contender now addresses the time of Hukta Jax! A race to end all races! Beginning now! Sslamoth: This will be an exciting race, I think. You are going against Queedle's new time of 0:22:48. He's the solid crowd favorite now. Attention fans! A new contender will now face the time set by your resident champion Queedle! Excitement is guaranteed!
Sslamoth: Greetings, Sector Champion. You have proven a spectacular racer, despite the near-lawless taunting of Hukta Jax. Sslamoth: Greetings, Sector Champion. You have proven to be a spectacular racer, even defeating Queedle's improved time.
Sslamoth: You have won a great deal of money. The payment for becoming Sector Champion is 5000 credits! That will be the last amount offered for now. When we begin a new round of races we will make certain you are notified.

Sslamoth: Welcome back, Sector Champion. I'm sorry, but no new races have been scheduled yet. You will be notified when they are.
1. I'm ready to race.
Sslamoth: I'm afraid there are no rounds currently in need of completion. As Sector Champion, you will be notified if further races are to take place. You can feel free to speak with the track Maintenance Officer to book a practice run, but it won't be officially timed. There is a small fee for practice runs, but it is significantly less than for official races.

If Hukta Jax was still Sector Champion and you speak to him again:

Hukta Jax: Hukta says you earned a big enemy. You should have lost when you was told to lose! Now something's gotta be done! Not here, because Selkath cameras are watching. I's too smart for that. I get you when you least expect. You just wait.
