Revision as of 23:28, 15 December 2014 by Onderduiker(talk | contribs)(→Great Walkway: Completed after siding with Freyyr, added messenger information)
Janos goes back down the walkway to the east, turning southeast at the junction and walking into his office. A Czerka patrol guard and a green Twi'lek male Czerka liaison officer patrol the eastern perimeter of the landing platform. Both can comment, but neither can be engaged in dialog.
Czerka Patrol Guard
Watch yourself. We don't need anyone agitating the locals.
Take a walk, spacer. You don't look like a big buyer to me.
If you've business with Czerka Corporation, take it to the director's office.
Keep walking. This ain't no holiday port of call.
Czerka Corporation should burn down some trees. Make room for some swoop races.
This assignment is the worst in the galaxy.
You want to arrange a purchase, go talk to the director in his office.
Move along, spacer.
Czerka Liaison Officer
It took ten days for news of Taris to reach me. They don't tell us anything.
I guess I should be grateful I'm on Kashyyyk. I could have been posted to Taris.
All those people on Taris dead. First I heard the whole planet was gone, but even just the city is sad.
Have you heard where the Sith might be headed next? I don't even know why they targetted Taris.
By the northeast edge of the platform are a metal box and a footlocker.
By the southeast edge of the platform is a Rodian named Fodo Medoo. You can ask him about Kashyyyk and off-world rumors, while asking him about the Czerka Corporation can lead to playing Pazaak, and if you don't already have a deck to allow you to play then you can acquire one from him.
The walkway to exiting east from the landing platform is walked by another Czerka patrol guard, while two Czerka merchants stand by the hand rail on the right, on the south side of the walkway as it curves north. They can comment, but won't engage in dialog.
Czerka Merchant
You're probably here with the new restraining collars. I'm not handling another shipment without them.
Three restraining collars failed on the last shipment. The buyer was not pleased.
You'd think they'd be grateful to leave this barbaric place.
I wasn't aware we were giving tours now. Leave me.
Speak with the director if you need information. I only deal with volume buyers.
I don't have time to deal with you.
I don't deal with individual buyers. I'll have my broker contact your people.
Please leave me. I've contracts to decipher.
Once you've passed them, Zaalbar will speak to you if he's in your party:
An orange Twi'lek male Czerka liaison officer patrols the north of this walkway, before it turns northeast. You'll pass two human males, Matton Dasol on the left, and Eli Gand on the right. If you speak to Matton first:
If you encouraged him to execute Eli, it's easy to persuade him using your own skill or the Force to leave the store, receiving an item but moving even closer to the dark side of the Force for doing so:
At the junction beyond Matton and Eli to the east, you can turn southeast into the lobby of Janos Wertka's office. There's a footlocker just inside the entrance, in the southwest corner to the right.
Another green Twi'lek male Czerka liaison officer stands outside the office to the left beyond two crates with random contents by the northeast wall, while a Czerka scientist stands to the right by the southwest wall. He can be engaged in dialog, which is more extensive if Zaalbar is in your party, but this isn't necessary:
If you try to speak to him again after threatening or insulting him:
Just leave me alone. I don't want any trouble. The guards are trigger-happy as it is.
Through an archway in the southeast wall is Janos' office, with a desk by its back wall. A junior Czerka scientist stands to the left, with a Wookiee lying on the floor inside a cage in the northwest corner.
Junior Czerka Scientist
Our work here could be very important if any effort was put into it.
Local fauna is amazing. If I could isolate why the trees grow so big, it would be worth more than a thousand Wookiee slaves.
I think Czerka is missing an opportunity here. The forest could teach us so much.
The payoff from research is too much of a risk for Czerka to spend much money on it. Slaves are proven commodities.
There is so much to learn about this planet, but they keep us cooped up in here.
I do my job and keep my mouth shut. Maybe I can do some good if I stay out of people's way.
There's a plasteel cylinder in the northeast corner.
Janos Werkta patrols between the landing platform and the desk in his office, pausing at either end. You can speak to him at any time to ask about supplies, the planet or Czerka Corporation (after which you or a party member can threaten or easily persuade him using your own skill or the Force to learn more about their operations), as well as the Star Map. Once again, the dialog is more extensive if Zaalbar is in your party.
After returning from the Shadowlands below and siding with Chuundar, two Wookiees are escorted from the office by two Czerka guards before Janos speaks to you again:
Turn north at the junction outside Janos' office and the walkway curving to the northeast is patrolled by another Czerka patrol guard. As you walk away from the office, you may encounter a messenger for a party member if unlocked by dialog.
Regardless of how the dialog ends, you can now open the gates and pass through to the Great Walkway beyond. The Czerka guard on the right can comment, but he cannot be engaged in dialog:
Czerka Guard
Don't bother me. You're on your own here.
I'm not paid to talk. Take it to the captain or the stiffs in the office.
I just carry a blaster. The captain does the talking.
Talk to the captain, not me.
You'll be engaged in combat immediately upon entering the Great Walkway (and regularly thereafter), and even once it's over you'll be unable to return to Ebon Hawk or change party selection until you return here or reach the village of Rwookrrorro.
After returning from the Shadowlands below and siding with Freyyr, the Czerka guard captain and guard will be gone, as will everyone else, as Wookiee rebels overwhelm the landing platform.
Four Wookiee rebels engage in melee combat with four Czerka guards on the walkway between the gates and Janos' office. You can assist the rebels, although they're invulnerable and perfectly capable of dispatching the guards quickly without your help. Either way, you receive experience for the kills.
Once it's all over, a single Wookiee rebel stands in each location. Messengers can no longer appear for party members, and the rebels can comment but cannot be engaged in dialog.
Wookiee Rebel
Czerka will never come back here, we will make certain!
You are the only outsider that will survive us! We swear it!
Kashyyyk will be ours once more!
Let no one escape! They must learn the price we place on dishonor!
Let their blood feed out forests! That will be their payment!
These Czerka animals will die by sword and bowcaster!
The Shadowlands are too good for them! We'll kill them all!
At last, we will push them off our beloved Kashyyyk!
The outsiders will pay for how they dishonored us!
Death to all slavers! Kashyyyk will be free!
The same applies to the two Wookiee guards now flanking either side of the Ebon Hawk's boarding ramp.
Wookiee Guard
We will guard this landing place from now on. Yours is the only ship that will be allowed to dock here for a long time, outsider.
Thank you for your assistance, outsider. I doubt we will meet another of your kind like you.
Your presence is tolerated because of how you helped us, outsider.
It will be a long time before we allow ourselves to be as weak as Chuundar made us.
If another company comes to Kashyyyk, they will find it impossible to do what Czerka did.
We will remember what happened here. Slavers will not take us again.
