AP Distribution

Unlike Adventurers, Aran is a straightforward job that has no class tree. Therefore, you don't need to plan your stats in advance (like a Beginner might).

Regular

Aran are very similar to warriors. You should have at least 1.5~ 2.0 times more Dexterity than your level, so if you are at level 25 you should have 40~50 dexterity. Add everything else to STR.

Since the Aran quests are required to kill monsters that are similar to your level, or higher, the accuracy gained from Dexterity helps Aran complete advancement quests (skill and job) more quickly.

Aran don't need INT or LUK. If you apply your stats correctly, there should be little problem killing monsters.

Dexless

Dexless Arans are a real challenge, and requires lots of money. A dexless Aran means to put all their APs into Strength, and never, or put very little DEX.

Since Aran cannot possibly attack strong monsters without DEX (becoming a problem when making a high combo), instead of not putting DEX, DEX scrolls will be needed. Lots of them. Possibly for all your equipment, and max them out if possible. Now this requires a lot of luck, since scrolls can fail, and you can only do this 5 or 7 times. And there's a difference between a 100% dex scroll working at all times and a 10% dex scroll working at all times, since a 10% scroll will have more benefits if it works.

If this is done successfully, a Dexless Aran will deal much more damage compared to a regular one.

First Job Skill Build

Unlike other jobs, Aran have very few skills to choose from, and because there is no "Increase Max Hp skill", Arans need a lot of HP pots.

This is the main Aran SP build.

  • Lv: 10~17:Double Swing (MAX)
  • Lv: 17~20: Combo Ability: (MAX)
  • LV 20~22: Combat Step: (15)
  • Lv 23~30: Polearm Booster: (MAX)

Second Job Skill Build

You can use your SP in Triple Swing. Body Pressure is actually pretty useless.

  • Level 31: Put 2 Points in Triple Swing. Complete the Aran quest, and you get Polearm Mastery. Put 1 point in that.
  • Level 32~37: All in Polearm Mastery. You can get the Combo Drain Ability.
  • Level 38: 1 in Polearm Mastery (MAX), then 2 in Triple swing.
  • Level 39~43: Triple Swing (MAX).
  • Level 44: Nothing much to put. I recommend rather to put these SPs to fill up Combat Step.
  • Level 45~51: Max out Combo Smash. Put the rest (2 SP) to finally fill up the rest in 1st Job.
  • Level 52~56: Put 15 in Combo drain, as there is nothing much to put.
  • Level 57~66: Max out Final Charge.
  • Level 67~68: MAx out Combo Drain. Use the one SP for Body Pressure.
  • Level 69~70: Same. Use the SP for Body Pressure.
