Black Mage is a boss found at the end of Limina. Basically everyone's target.

Entry Requirements[edit]

  • Level 255 or higher
  • Completed Limina quests
  • Consume 1 Fragment of Destiny to enter (combine 1 untradeable Essence of Dark Energy from Verus Hilla and 50 tradable Flames of Desire)
  • Entry limitations
    • Entry is allowed three times per day if you did not take Black Mage down, assuming that you have the required entrance item (1 Fragment of Destiny). There is a one hour wait period between entries on the same day
    • Clear count is allowed up till once per month. Resets at the start of the following month.

  • Level: 265 (Phases 1 and 4)
    • Character Level 270/275 or higher for 1.2x damage dealt in Non-Reboot/Reboot world respectively

  • DEF: 300% throughout the battle.
  • Resists all elements, including Physical. Bind resistance for Phases 2, 3 and 4 (because Black Mage has the powers of a god and god cannot be binded).
  • Death Counts Allowed: 12 per person throughout the whole battle. If you get hit by certain attacks in some specific sequences, death counts will reduce unconditionally even if you survive.
  • Damage percentages are based on your HP.

Black Mage drops the following items (definite drop unless specified)

  • Glowing Soul Crystal (individual drop)
    • Max 180 per world weekly, limit resets on Thursday 12am
    • 5x value on Reboot servers
    • The entire service will be adjusted the same way, and adjustment happens every 1st day of the month at 12am
    • The price will be based on the time the crystal is obtained, not the time it is sold. You can check with NPC Collector to see the price and to sell the crystals.
    • Price shown are by solo standards. The actual price is inversely proportional to party size when entering the boss fight
  • 30 Suspicious Additional Cubes (30 Master Craftsman Cubes for Reboot Worlds)
  • 40 Power Elixirs
  • Crusader Coins
  • Badge of Genesis badge (low drop chance, tradable until equipped. Level 200, 15 All Stats, 10 ATT and Magic ATT, 10 Speed, 10 Jump, part of Pitched/Black Boss Accessory set)
  • Arcane Umbra Armor Box, Arcane Umbra Weapon Box (untradeable, expires in 7 days, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive. Resulting item is tradable until equipped and does not expire)
  • Yellow Cube (low drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects, expires in 7 days)
  • Blade of Chaos (low drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects)
  • Crimson Resurrection Flame (moderate drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, expires in 7 days)
  • Rainbow Resurrection Flame (moderate drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, expires in 7 days)
  • Black Resurrection Flame (moderate drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, expires in 7 days)
  • Unextinguished Flame (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects)
  • Never-extinguishing Flame (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects)
  • Black Never-extinguishing Flame (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects)
  • Additional 50% EXP buff (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, expires in 7 days)
  • Sparkling Blue Star Potion (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive)
  • Sparkling Red Star Potion (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive)
  • Small EXP Accumulation Potion (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, shares the same effect as EXP Accumulation Potion but for 30 minutes only)
  • Large Medal of Honor (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects including Reboot world passive, gives 5,000 Honor Points when used, expires in 30 days if unused)
  • Incredible Chaos Scroll of Goodness 60% (high drop rate, unaffected by drop rate increasing effects, expires in 30 days)
  • Primal Essence (high drop rate)
  • Unlocks quest for Genesis Weapon / advance in the quest to upgrade the Genesis Weapon.
