All AP should be put into STR. Numbers in parentheses next to build levels, e.g. Dragon Slash (3), refer to the total number of SP in that skill at that level.

1st Job

Dragon Slash and Flame Surge both start with one bonus SP point in each. It doesn't matter which one you level up; just pick your favorite. Note that Flame Surge is superior to Dragon Slash in that its range is about two to three times longer than Dragon Slash, however Dragon Slash can hit more enemies in a group than Flame Surge can. Since you get free MP potions from the quest line and monsters drop them, mana should not be a factor in choosing between the two.

Flame Surge first

• Levels 10-14: Air Lift (15/MAX)
• Levels 15-20: Flame Surge (19)
• Level 21: Flame Surge (20/MAX), Scale Skin (2)
• Levels 22-23: Scale Skin (8)
• Level 24: Scale Skin (10/MAX), Dragon Slash (2)
• Levels 25-30: Dragon Slash (20/MAX)

Dragon Slash first

• Levels 10-14: Air Lift (15/MAX)
• Levels 15-20: Dragon Slash (19)
• Level 21: Dragon Slash (20/MAX), Scale Skin (2)
• Levels 22-23: Scale Skin (8)
• Level 24: Scale Skin (10/MAX), Flame Surge (2)
• Levels 25-30: Flame Surge (20/MAX)
