Gourd File:MS Monster Gourd.png	Quest Monster Level: 1 HP: 10,000 MP: 10,000 PDR: 1% MDR: 100,000% EXP: 0	A giant gourd located in Korean Folk Town. Summoned through "seeds". There are 2 types of Gourds, one of them is given by Swallow of Korean folk town to plant on a roof of one of the 2 brothers for a quest. The other is an event by the Maple Administrator where she gives you a seed in exchange for 1000 squishy liquids. The Event gourd drops many items when killed.
Snail	Level: 1 HP: 8 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 3	The easiest monster to defeat in MapleStory. Green Snails are the weakest monster in the whole game. Found in swarms outside of almost every Victoria island city. The snail family is also known as farm pests. It's common drop is a Snail Shell, which has virtually no use except for a few quests. If a the magician's "Slow" skill is used on this monster when maxed, it's speed lowers to -105, virtually freezing it for 40 seconds.
Tino	Level: 1 HP: 9 MP: 4 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 4	The weakest monster on the island of Ereb, the homeland of the Cygnus Knights. It seems to be the Ereb equivalent of a snail.
Muru	Level: 1 HP: 8 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 1	A monster found in Rien, Aran's hometown. The weakest of all Rien monsters.
Soul of Horned Tail File:MS Monster Soul of HonTale.png	Unofficial Name Boss Level: 1 HP: 2,090,000,000 MP: 0 PDR: % MDR: % EXP: 0	When all 8 live parts of Horned Tail are killed, it turns into this form and is instantly killed, showing that you managed to defeat Horn Tail.
Turkey File:MS Monster Turkey.png	GlobalMS American Thanksgiving Event Monster Level: 1 HP: 50 MP: 0 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	Totally harmless. Drops various Thanksgiving related items such as Roasted Turkey, Corn, Pilgrim Hats, and Chief's Axes.
Tutorial Jr. Sentinel	Level: 1 HP: 8 MP: 15 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 1	Its magic was sealed by Grendel the Really Old. It does not deal any damage, since its function is to teach beginners how to attack monsters. Easily recognizable by the control key above its head. Interestingly, the key varies in different versions. With the implementation of the Mushroom Town Training Camp in many versions of MapleStory, this monster may soon cease to exist.
Tutorial Leatty File:MS Monster Tutorial Leatty.png	Level: 1 HP: 8 MP: 15 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 1	Its magic was sealed by Grendel the Really Old. It does not deal any damage, since its function is to teach beginners how to attack monsters. Easily recognizable by the control key above its head. Interestingly, the key varies in different versions. Replacing the old Tutorial Jr. Sentinels are Tutorial Drum Bunnies and Tutorial Leatty.

Loki Box Tr File:MS Monster Loki Box Tr.png	Level: 1 HP: 100,000 MP: 5,000 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	A chest from the secret Pumpkin Vault of Prendergast Mansion in Masteria. It explodes if you don't kill it in one hit, which is practically impossible. The explosion is so powerful that it will knock an attacker all the way across the map. It deals a lot of damage, so mages and low level characters must be very careful. If not defeated in one minute, it will disappear. With the end of Halloween, these chests can no longer be summoned.
Loki Box Ex File:MS Monster Loki Box Ex.png	Level: 1 HP: 3 MP: 5,000 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	A chest from the secret Pumpkin Vault of Prendergast Mansion in Masteria. When defeated, it may drop special items. Only stays on screen for one minute. It spawns mixed in with the trap boxes, and there's no reliable way to tell them apart, so always attack from as far away as possible. With the end of Halloween, these chests can no longer be summoned.
Balrog's Dead Right Hand	Level: 70 HP: 600,000,000 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	The chained up Balrog hand after it has been defeated. It can't hurt you, and you can't hurt it.
Balrog's Dead Left Hand	Level: 70 HP: 600,000,000 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	The chained up Balrog hand after it has been defeated. It can't hurt you, and you can't hurt it.
Blue Snail	Level: 2 HP: 15 MP: 15 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 4	A tougher snail but still very easy to slay . Found in most locations in Maple and Victoria Island. In addition, a regular monster can be transformed into one by the Priest skill Doom. The snail family are known as farm pests. Slightly faster than the regular Snail, a magician's "Slow" skill while maxed will decrease the Blue Snail's speed to -90.
Shroom	Level: 2 HP: 20 MP: 15 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 5	A small poisonous mushroom. Fast and tricky for less experienced travelers. Not the best monster for magicians-to-be because of their speed and attack. Found in Henesys, the South West Side of Victoria Island, and all over Maple Island. Unlike stronger mushroom-monsters, Shroom drops spores rather than Mushroom Caps.
Tutorial Red Snail	JMS Only Level: 2 HP: 15 MP: 15 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 18	This modified Red Snail is in the Revamped JapanMS Maple Island only. HAS A WAY GREATER HP/EXP Ratio compared to slimes.
Bob the Snail	Level: 2 HP: 777 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 7	This monster is interestingly enough based off of player-created lore surrounding a random Green Snail that spawns in Drake's Meal Table, a very odd location. It has been adopted into a real monster due to its popularity. Surprisingly, it can jump and moves pretty fast, for a snail. No one has been able to calculate Bob's exact age but he appears to be even older than Grendel. Bob proves that big things come in small packages through his heroism by saving someone from the drakes. Bob the Snail's spawn rate is low. Its shell is needed for Jay's Curiosity quest.
Tutorial Slime	JMS Only Level: 3 HP: 25 MP: 35 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 31	A slime only located on JapanMS's revamped Maple Island. This monster gives almost triple the experience a regular slime gives. Which means you can stay at Maple Island and gain a lot of levels before you leave Maple Island.
Creative File:MS Monster Creative.png	Unofficial Name Level: 3 HP: 25 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 7	A slightly stronger version of Tino, found on the island of Ereb, the homeland of the Cygnus Knights. It's comparable to a Blue Snail.
Murupa	Level: 3 HP: 28 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 6	A stronger version of Muru with much more HP. Found in Rien, hometown of the Aran.
Red Snail	Level: 4 HP: 45 MP: 30 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 8	An even tougher snail which evolved from the blue snail supposedly by "leveling". Slow like other snails. Harder to kill for beginning mages between levels 1 and 10. Found in most places Blue Snails are. Slightly faster than the regular Snail, a magician's "Slow" skill while maxed will decrease the Red Snail's speed to -90.
Stump	Level: 4 HP: 40 MP: 30 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 8	A slow but enduring tree stump. Harder to kill than other monsters its level. Found in the Northern paths of Victoria Island. Slower than a regular Snail, a magician's "Slow" skill at max will reduce the Stump's speed to -110.
Tutorial Stump	JMS Only Level: 4 HP: 40 MP: 30 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 50	A Stump only located on JapanMS's revamped Maple Island, has a way greater HP/EXP ratio than its normal version.
Tutorial Orange Mushroom	JMS Only Level: 5 HP: 50 MP: 45 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 52	A Orange Mushroom only located on JapanMS's revamped Maple Island. Has the GREATEST HP/EXP ratio of all the monsters on that island.
Timu	Level: 5 HP: 45 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 9	The next form up from Creative, found on the homeland of the Cygnus Knights. It seems to be the Ereb equivalent of a Red Snail.
Marupiah File:MS Monster Marupiah.png	Level: 5 HP: 43 MP: 0 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 9	Stronger than Murupa. Found in Rien, hometown of the Aran.
Slime	Level: 6 HP: 40 MP: 35 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 10	File:MS Monster Orange Slime.png Slimes are made of a thick liquid which allows them to bounce about. Found in various Ellinia Tree Dungeons and the South West corner of Victoria Island. Not recommended for players below level 10. Drops squishy liquid, and sometimes Slime Bubbles. They are great training for levels 10-18. During the Halloween event in 2006, all slimes were turned turned orange. They were turned half red and half green during Christmas event in 2006 and 2008.
Tutorial Green Mushroom	JMS Only Level: 6 HP: 55 MP: 25 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 33	A way weaker verson of the Green Mushroom only located on JapanMS's revamped Maple Island. It doesn't have a good HP/EXP ratio like all the other monsters on the island.
Stirge	Henesys PQ Enemy Level: 6 HP: 22 MP: 20 PDR: 3% MDR: 1% EXP: 22	A clone of Stirge.Found in the Henesys PQ. Attacks you, your party members and the helpful Henesys Bunny.
Pig	Level: 7 HP: 75 MP: 40 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 15	Pigs appear to always be angry, charging at you. A hard monster to defeat if you are levels 1-10. Sometimes drops the rare pig head. It has a good spawn at a hidden area between Lith Harbor and Henesys called Pig Beach. It can be found in a couple of areas around Henesys with it's stronger brother, the Ribbon Pig.
Tiru	Level: 7 HP: 70 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 16	An even more advanced form, up from Timu. Found on the homeland of the Cygnus Knights. It seems to be the Ereb equivalent of a pig.
Murumuru	Level: 7 HP: 70 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 15	Stronger than Murupiah. Found in Rien, hometown of the Aran.
Flyeye	Henesys PQ Enemy Level: 8 HP: 80 MP: 30 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 10	A clone of Flyeye. Found in the Henesys PQ. Attacks you, you party members and the helpful Henesys Bunny.
Frog	Level: 8 HP: 75 MP: 45 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 17	A small frog resembling a summoned frog in the anime Naruto. Located in the swampy outskirts of the Floating Market. Good training for lower leveled characters, as they spawn in swarms and are less dangerous than orange mushrooms. When hunting these, try to keep out of the marshy water as you will take damage every few seconds.
Orange Mushroom	Level: 8 HP: 80 MP: 45 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 15	A jumping evolved form of the Shroom. Don't be fooled by its innocent appearance; it is quite a menace in large numbers. Found in and around Henesys, Maple Island, and Kerning City. Low leveled players that have slow weapon attack and low damage have a little harder time with these. They also serve as the unofficial mascot monster for MapleStory. It's said that the ones who sneak into someone else's house transform into Mushmoms.
Tutorial Horny Mushroom	JMS Only Level: 8 HP: 90 MP: 35 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 63	A severely weakened version of the Horny Mushroom only located in JapanMS's Maple Island. Gives the most exp on the island out of all the monsters.
Tigureu File:MS Monster Tigureu.png	Level: 9 HP: 100 MP: 0 PDR: 1% MDR: 1% EXP: 19	The most advanced form, just above Tiru. Found on the homeland of the Cygnus Knights. This one doesn't match up to a Maple Island species, but it seems to be between Orange Mushrooms and Ribbon Pigs in strength.
Murukun	Level: 9 HP: 95 MP: 0 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 18	The strongest of all monsters on Rien. It dosen't match up to Maple Island species, but it seems to be between Orange Mushrooms and Ribbon Pigs in strength.
Candle Monster	Level: 10 HP: 550 MP: 40 PDR: 7% MDR: 1% EXP: 0	One can say it's a candle spirit because of it's halo. They're Capable of doing light-medium damage. Originally event monsters, they can now only be found in Amoria : Untamed Hearts Hunting Grounds, accessible through premium weddings. In GMS, it has also been placed with other cakes in a mini-dungeon for GMS' 4th anniversary at NLC.
Coke Snail	KoreaMS Event Monster Level: 10 HP: 120 MP: 26 PDR: 2% MDR: 1% EXP: 19	Native to Coke land, the Snails have adapted by using the coke logo on their shells. This monster is the strongest version of the Snails so far. Found in KoreaMS's Coca-Cola World.
Dark Stump	Level: 10 HP: 250 MP: 10 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 18	Stronger version of the stump in both strength and defense but it isn't too different from the Stump. These are fairly rare, so hunting the leaves they drop can be a pain. Easy prey when mixed in with its cousins in Perion. They can be found in mobs in East Rocky Mountain II. Unlike the regular Stump, Dark Stumps drop leaves.
Ribbon Pig	Level: 10 HP: 120 MP: 45 PDR: 2% MDR: 1% EXP: 20	A pig with a ribbon. The story given by the website is that the strongest pigs were branded with ribbons, and used in wars. It jumps and is relatively fast. Found around Lith Harbor and Henesys. Drops leather, stiff feathers, and ribbons.
Golden Pig File:MS Monster Golden Pig.png	Level: 10 HP: 120 MP: 45 PDR: 2% MDR: 1% EXP: 20	A Golden Pig monster. Resembles a Pet from the Cash Shop.
Black Magician's Disciple File:MS Monster Dark Wizard's Minion.png	Level: 10 HP: 300 MP: 40 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 15	A dark minion that was disguised as a Pig. It is a floating monster that is part of the quest A Mysterious Entity Onboard The Nautilus. It looks a bit like a summon from the Dark knight's Beholder skill.

Cynical Orange Mushroom	Level: 10 HP: 80 MP: 45 PDR: 0% MDR: 1% EXP: 15	An Orange Mushroom with a strange expression. They are found in a new map just outside Henesys, where they spawn in abundance. Used in Cygnus Knights training sessions from the Henesys instructor. Aran also has training sessions with these monsters from Bruce in Henesys.
