Picture | Monster Info | Notes |
---|---|---|
Buffy |
|
A yellow Jester-like monster that appears in the Warped Path of Time I along with its stronger counterpart. Doesn't jump or move fast, but has an unavoidable magic attack and generally un-noteworthy drops. During the GlobalMS Christmas event in 2006, all Buffy were turned turned half red and Green. |
Wild Kargo |
|
Another of the Beta's old favorites. It has extremely good HP/experience ratio, but does a lot of damage and runs very fast. Has a slow spawn, mixed in heavily with cold eyes. Found deep in the Ant Tunnel, in a map called Wild Kargo's Area beyond the Drake's Meal Table. |
Leader A File:MS Monster Leader A.png |
|
This guy is pretty hard. He is one of the two leaders, wielding a sword that doesn't exist. He swipes his long sword at you. Acts like any Yakuza member, fights like an enemy mapler. Located in Showa Town's streets. |
Peach Monkey File:MS Monster Peach Monkey.gif |
|
A thieving monkey that pilfers peaches from Tae Sang's Peach Farm outside Mu Lung. It throws the peaches from its sack at players when angered, similar to a lupin with bananas. The peaches move VERY slowly, and are thus easy to avoid. |
Jr. Gargoyle File:MS Monster Jr. Gargoyle.png |
Guild Quest Monster
|
Flies around, usually in mobs. It is mandatory to kill these monsters in order to move on. |
Puco |
Appears with Zakum
|
Another minion summoned by Zakum. It flies. |
Soul Teddy |
Undead
|
A lost soul has inhabited a discarded teddy bear. The soul can be seen guiding the bear, hovering over it's shoulder. Appears with its stronger counterpart at Forgotten Path of Time I. Cannot jump or fall over like the other teddies. Like Buffies, they have generally un-noteworthy drops, and bad spawn. Zombies are a better option. Only the teddy's body, not the soul, can cause contact damage. It has a ranged attack that looks a lot like the magician's skill Magic Claw. |
Muscle Stone |
Guild Quest Monster
|
These golems are in the first stage of the Sharenian Guild quest, and are only extras blocking the real Muscle stone which is causing all of these to spawn. Possess a Magic attack which drops a rock on your head, though it isn't very deadly. |
Officer Skeleton |
Undead
|
A stronger skeleton soldier, appearing near the Sharenian Guild Quest entrance in the Perion Ruins. Wears a metal helmet and wields a sword. |
Slimy |
Undead
|
A Sailor monster carrying a broom. Found in Singapore. |
Jr. Lucida |
Appears with Elliza
|
A Jr. Lucida, currently released in KoreaMS. Eliza summons these to protect her. |
Dark Pepe |
|
A Pepe infected by darkness. Like other "dark" El Nath monsters, it loses its previous element and becomes weak to holy. Luckily, that means those with a freezing move can now use it for good effect. Otherwise, generally more powerful than the normal Pepe. This is the final monster that does not use magic. All monsters with a higher level will have some magic attacks. Only found at Sharp Cliff II in El Nath. |
Ice Drake |
|
Has a weakness to fire and an avoidable long range ice attack. Appears in decent number in the Drake's Meal Table expansion. Another alternative of Zombies for Fire Magic, with good spawn, though not very popular. Not available in all versions. |
Leader B File:MS Monster Leader B.png |
|
Another member of the Yakuza, found in the streets of Showa Town. Oddly, it has less HP than its lower level fellow Leader. If you attack close to him he'll hit you with his pistol. He can also shoot at you which is unavoidable. |
Mr. Alli File:MS Monster Bird Crocodile Panax Theif.gif |
|
This monster seems to be an amalgam of other monsters. It has two different magical attacks, which it will use interchangeably depending on how close the attacking character is. When the player is up close, Mr. Alli blows a strong gust of wind, stunning the attacker. If the player should retreat, he begins to shoot feathers, which cause the bird on it's head to attack in an annoying fashion when it strikes someone. Found in Herb Town. |
Yeti |
|
The Jr. Yeti's larger form. They either spawn in this form, or occasionally transform when defeated in their junior forms. Regardless, they retain their fire weakness and add an earthquake attack (think King Slime/Mushmom) to their repertoire. The Yeti that spawn as adults can also boost their weapon attack/defense. |
Lich |
Undead
|
A New monster add to the zombie maps in KoreaMS Tespia, patch 1.2.82. It is a method of catching botters, as hitting it results in a lie-detector-like screen. (Official Patch version 1.2.40) |
Zombie Mushmom |
Undead
|
Found in the Ant Tunnel Park, at a site called the Grave of Mushmom. This is pretty much a more powerful version of Mushmom with exactly the same earthquake attack. Drops a powerful throwing star of attack +27 called the Hwabi-Throwing Star only dropped in MapleSEA. It is also available in all other versions of MapleStory except eMS, but they don't drop the Hwabi there. Like all undead monsters, it is weak to heal and Holy magic. |
