The third phase of the boss of Amoria PQ. Once it's Crimson Balrog form is defeated, it will turn into what you see here. Except, Geist Balrog can cast Super Weapon Defense or Super Magic defense, like Bone fish or Goby house. It can also Dispel. The most annoying ability it has is its Teleport, which warps to random spots at any given time. Geist can be translated to mean ghost in German, and though this Balrog is somewhat transparent, it is strangely not undead. In GlobalMS, the Geist Balrog has begun to drop the Balrog's Claw, an item needed to upgrade Ancient Armor into the powerful Bosshunter Gear.

The Elder Wraiths are spirits of Crimsonwood Keep heroes who fell in battle but were never buried. They're far, far more powerful than Wraiths and Jr. Wraiths, however just like their weaker counterparts, they have no magic. According to legend, a hermit who threw Ilbi at an Elder Wraith found them transformed into Crystal Ilbi upon retrieving them. It's unknown whether this will occur for players in game, however. These monsters are proven to be deadly to wandering players as they can hit 2k with their touch damage plus they are aggressive following players upon sight.

A poisonous Squid with a special attack. Commonly called Purple or Lethal Sotong in MapleSEA. DO NOT make the mistake of thinking that the Dark Squid is stronger, or you'll regret it. Its melee attack is very powerful, though its ranged attack is rather pathetic, dealing only around 600-700 damage. Spawns with black squids on the Eastern side of Aqua Dungeon.

  • EXP: 2,500
A Red Dragon that resides in the Dragon Canyon of Leafre. Since the color of the Dragon is red, it is obviously susceptible to ice attacks. It doesn't fly around, but instead hovers on the floor. This dragon cannot jump, and moves fairly slow, making it easy to avoid. Since it's a fire dragon, the fireballs can go at a fast pace and it can shoot many at once. They respawn quickly and as many as 10 can appear on the same platform.
Gigantic Spirit Viking
File:MS Monster Gigantic Spirit Vikings.png
  • Level: 98
  • HP: 58,000
  • MP: 220
  • PDR: 38%

These giant ships are among the most feared monsters in Ludibrium. With a cannon magic attack and a large touch damage radius, they can be quite dangerous. Spawn in a map on the left side of the Clock Tower. Not often hunted due to the fact that Spirit Vikings drop Ilbi stars. According to the Papulatus quests, They followed Papulatus from the other "Dimension."

This much uglier beast is immune to Ice Magic, so Ice Mages may need to watch out when fighting these guys. It has the exact same HP as a regular phantom watch, but is worth 500 more exp, so it is hunted more often. It has a different magic attack, where icicles rise out of the floor for high damage. This monster is also one of two monsters that drop the book Bishops require to get their Resurrection Skill quest. Located in a Hidden Street off the regular phantom watch map. These also followed Papulatus from the other "Dimension" like Gigantic Spirit Vikings did.

Crimson Balrog

Boss

  • Level: 100
  • HP: 100,000
    300,000 (Amoria PQ)
  • MP: 500
  • PDR: 40%
  • MDR: 5,000%
  • EXP: 3,500
A monster best known for its attacks against the ships that run between Orbis and Ellinia. Despite its power, it is not invincible, especially against holy magic. However, the number of people capable of defeating one of these is slim, much less in the pairs that Crimson Balrogs travel in. It has the rare ability to pierce through Dark Sight. There is a 50% chance that the coast is clear during the ship ride, a 35% chance that only the ship will appear, and a 15% chance of the Crimson Balrogs actually attacking. When Crimson Balrogs appear on the ship, the music outside changes, so many people like to stand at the bottom mast and listen for the music to change. However, Crimson Balrog can sometimes come to the lower mast so it is not recommended for players to go there. In versions with 4th job Advancement. Weaker versions of this balrog are assigned on a plot to capture Tylus in a Henesys PQ style map, and a stronger version appears as the second form of the Amoria PQ boss. In GlobalMS, the Crimson Balrog has begun to drop the Balrog's Claw, an item needed to upgrade Ancient Armor into the powerful Bosshunter Gear.

  • PDR: 34%
  • MDR: 300%
  • EXP: 3,200
Dreamy Ghosts are often called by their japanese name, Hime. They are also known as Mongs in MapleSEA. They are undead so priests with a non-lagging heal can take care of them pretty well. Also, the exp is still good even without a double experience card while in a party. It's knockback is extraordinarily low for its level. The only bad thing about them is that occasionally, the Black Crow boss will spawn on the map, wreaking havoc on anyone unlucky enough to be nearby. In JapanMS, this monster was given the ability to lay curses on your character, making this monster very unsuitable for training now. Located in one of the Pine Forest maps in Zipangu's Mushroom Shrine.

  • Level: 100
  • HP: 56,000
  • MP: 200
  • PDR: 45%
  • MDR: 5,000%
  • EXP: 3,000
A Powerful monster found in Leafre's Dragon Forest. It is resistant to poison. Players that are going to attempt to fight the Horn Tail boss are transformed into these in order to enter the dungeon. It Slices a player with it's knife, similar to Boomerang step. This move can randomly cause poison, like its dark counterpart. The attack is fast and powerful, so be careful, and its poison can deal 300 damage per second, putting low HP characters such as Archers, thieves, and magicians (since Magic Guard cannot protect against poison damage) at a high risk. They serve as Horned Tail's personal guards.

It does very large damage with its Magic attacks by summoning a boat that rams on the player, which can be deadly for archers and thieves. Captain Latanica has been temporarily removed as of MapleSEA version .53, allegedly going "on vacation." He returned in MapleSEA's recent patch and he appears to be behind the events surrounding the boss Krexel, due to the fact that he sealed a portal in the Ruins of Krexel.

The Typhons are associated with wind spirits, and as such serve as elementals of Air. Though their damage may be weak, their magic attack can prove to be annoying to all travelers as it's knockback value is very high having a high chance to send the victim into the chasm below. The TCG item "Typhon's Crest" revealed this monster long before it was released. Typhons, which are found at Crimsonwood Mountain, are related to the weaker Gryphons far out at the edges of the Krakian Jungle. One of the strongest flying monsters in the game.
