  • Drop the Magic Device on the Pentagram of Alchemy (book with symbol next to it) near the center of the map, and the Magic Device will become Lightless Magic Device
  • Return to Carson with the Lightless Magic Device.

Next, go to explore the Missing Alchemist's House at the opposite end of town. Note that using NPC Chat does not work in this map. Click on the spiderweb in the upper left corner.
